Nice to see, you kinda understand their legendary status.... Helmers HiFi in Gothenburg (a 2nd hand HiFi shop, usually with the regular modern stuff, but sometimes a few vintage & tube items, everything @ very nice prices, i.e. not exclusive) once had a Garrard 301 for sale. Why on earth did i not buy it???, one of the big question marks in my life... It was in my youth, but i was well aware of what a Garrard 301 was... But i did buy other nice stuff of Helmer, such as one or several SPU:s, DL103, a silver wired Luxman MC trafo, a Dynaco PAS... It was always fun to snoop around @ Helmers....
I want to see the next video and anything after that! I can't wait till the turntable gets under way for the rebuilding of that and it's final play test! Till then keep up the wonderful video's and the work you have been doing!
These are such nice motors! It's a pleasure to work on well-built equipment like this and almost as much fun watching you do it. Looking forward to seeing the turntables finished. Gee you're certainly churning out the videos lately. Did you get kicked out of the house again?
The temperature is finally above 10deg Don so I'm excited to get some work done in the shed. Mind you, I have to watch how many things find their way into the house, 😆
Incredible video. Just what I've been looking for to service my 401. It's a pity that it doesn't come way up ahead on the search. Well done, sir!
So glad you enjoyed the video & get some info from it. I am looking into why it doesn't show up on a search, it certainly should !
Cheers & Thank You
A very thorough job on those motors Baz. Coming along nicely,,,,,,Well done
At least I think their ok for many years Frank, gives newbees a look at whats inside them as well !

These are truly a beautiful example of top level craftmanship.
I will miss them in the collection when they go up for sale.
Cheers

You and me both, I better get my ass into gear !
@@techobaz55 Hey you just do what you have to do. Take your time and things will go smoothly.
Bootlace terminals / ferrules are one of those things you really appreciate once you start using them and have the correct tool.
Spot on ! Once you start using them you can't stop !
@@techobaz55 I have a Garrard Zero 100 in for a minor repair at the moment that has the same terminal block on the motor.
@@daShare very interesting. Not familiar with these but will do some research for myself. Cheers

We used to call other stuff names as well as the Oh God clips, we had the Oh Jesus springs (same reason).
Lol. Love it !
