I don't mind Grubby being critical of others, he has great insight and is usually fair to both sides. He has learned a lot about WoW in an insanely fast tempo, props to him for that.
However, it is still immediately clear how insanely new he still is, giving the impressions that he understands something while it being painfully clear that he actually misunderstands the game, mechanic, or (surprisingly often) the social aspects. I think it would be wise if he stopped being so critical of others in the game, because quite a few times already has he embarrassed himself a little by telling others what they did wrong while totally not understanding the game either. Also it's easy being critical of others from a VOD, but he has proven on his druid a few times that he also did absolutely the wrong things (or basically nothing at all) when stress moments came up (like 1.5 week ago in Winterspring with the elite snowpanthers).

Well said. Particularly him calling Yamato's play on Ragnaros "roaching", when it's obviously just an innocent lack of kwowledge causing him not to go back immediately, was painful to listen to. If anyone were to analyze Gubby's gameplay as critically they could just as easily find examples of apparent "ego-centric" plays.
Don't understand why he's so quick to judge, kinda toxic tbh

Grubby, Ele DPS is pretty decent in phase 1, it's above feral, and it's on par or better than hunter for all phases. Enh is meh, but it can be offset slightly by totem twisting.

I wanna see the newbies get stronger. Imagine Faegirl over coming her parents death and leading the raid or Soap doing a super clutch heal on Pika 😂. You dont get these kind of stories with 40 great players.

In softcore classic, I would say being a tryhard and demanding the same of everyone else is toxic. Because realistically everything just falls over. Think if your raid was on softcore - you were never even close to being in danger of NOT killing the boss. In softcore, 10 people dies - who cares? Onyxia still falls over.
But in Hardcore - absolutely, if your behavior endangers others that is more toxic. You don't play and raid hardcore with a casual enjoyment mindset. If you get to that point - you have to be at least focused on success.
And the oyher argument is: it isn't hard. It may be unreasonable to ask a League new player to be as knowledgeable as a challenger. But in WoW the bar is so low that many people would just walk over it.
Some classes literally have 1 button dps rotation (hello, mages), so uou have plenty of timd to watch your threat etc.

I believe it’s rude to not be at a basic level of understanding in hardcore. At least for group and raid content.
You should have all the addons, know how to use them. You should know your role and mechanics in every fight. You don’t need to be super sweat grinding 10 hours a day for pre BiS and stuff. But you should show up knowing what to do and when to do it.
I’d rather have someone who knows their role in a fight and sticks to it over someone who ignores their role to flex their parse.

Honestly Grubby, you've become a lot more harsher in tone when criticizing others over the last month. Not nice to see.
Please man, be more gentler and careful.
There's a lot of drama going on recently and I would be sad to see you fall into the traps of all those drama-lords feeding of off it.

To be fair, grubby was never really soft. His take mostly have insight, understanding and overall quite fair, but very strict.

Does he really think an add-on can prevent gold buying? Those rules are a paper tiger, more than easy to circumvent. Big guilds do partially thrive because they buy gold, eg they can focus on the mechanics and are able to ignore farming part. Not mentioning the free stuff streamers usually receive.
