  • Home to some of India’s largest mammals, West Bengal’s Jaldapara National Park is a striking mosaic of woodlands and grasslands. Moulded by the river Torsa, the grasslands in the floodplains support creatures great and small. Despite this abundance, the park has its own set of challenges.

The video is an absolute treat to watch. I belong to Kolkata and visited the place once, but if you try to watch the wild animals from the watch tower through a jungle safari u will get very very few. Sometimes it's up to the luck. I think it's a better option to view the lion's share of the core area from Torsa river Bridge (on the way to Madarihat or Hasimara )on the NH 31 (if you get a car) where there is a higher chance to see the wild animals come to the river to quench their thirst.
