The purple colour is a lot nicer in the flesh, but this copper colour is “The One”. It also has one hell of a price, but is one hell of a bike. Super nice. Thanks for the video, Guy.
Hi Guy, great vid as usual, I watched your ride video as well great watch ; just one question for you; concerning the rattle on the new motor & cables rattling on the downs that other reviews have picked up ! I understand re; shimano Ep8 motor it is being looked into to sort the problem is that your understanding ? 👍
I was listening for it while riding but I never found it an issue. The only time I really noticed it was when rolling it in and out of the van. I don’t tend to do a lot of coasting on smoother terrain though, if it’s smooth I’m generally on the gas 🤣
Great review, may I ask your hight please. I can see the bike in video is a XL. At 6'1 I'm between large and XL so not sure if to size up or down. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it Nathan. I'm 5'11 with short legs and TBH I normally ride a large in a Cruz. Got on with the XL fine though, even on the steep and slippery stuff.
@@GuyKesTV Hi Guy thanks for the reply. I think I may go for the Large frame and I’m not gonna come out with the line “because I want a more playful ride” but because on paper it is the closest size to my Specialized Enduro S4 which is absolutely perfect size for me. Fingers crossed it will be a good fit as I can’t test one on my little island.
Hi. I’m just over 6’1 and I went with the large. I swapped the 40mm stem for a 50. Which makes a total reach and stem of 525 my xl tallboy total is 528. I found the large easier to get the front up and it was more playful than the xl I had a spin on
Hi Guy, I am considering getting one. Now on Scott Spark 910 with 140mm and Bosch. Can you give me some of your thought on Santa? This is a big chunk of money so what is most interesting for me is the motor. With Bosch 4th gen i can get nearly anywhere. What about EP8?
There’s very little practical difference on trail between Bosch 4 and EP8. Similar power and noise levels. Shimano has a neater display but there’s a clunky rattle on freewheeling sometimes. There is a massive difference between the Spark and Bullit in terms of geometry and travel though. It’s like a rally car versus a desert racing truck. Huge amounts of fun but a lot of bike for more normal trails.
@@GuyKesTV Thanks Guy, this vas very informative. What about size. I tried L on Santa Cruz and it felt small, XL more comfortable, but will I loose the "right" diameters for Santa, you know, the downhill freaky fun? [I am 180cm]
@@bartwarot5692 cool, just wanted to check it wasn’t an older, shorter/smaller one. I’m exactly the same size and I can go L/XL. You’ll definitely get more ‘tank’ feel on an XL, more ‘play’ on an L
Got a bit carried away with the length of the ride and the edit so it needs chopping down but the full length epic is here. ruclips.net/video/gtyEHIh0hXE/видео.html
Laughed at your comment about the coil shock "probably a vanity thing" That applies to Santa Cruz as a brand. Very over priced Chinese bikes. Normally you get what you pay for, but with Santa Cruz you pay for it but do not get what you pay for, case and point is the entry level of this bike, with E7000 motor.

GuyKesTV,
I bought a 2019 Bronson based on your review.
I also bought a 2021 Bullit based on your review!
How much did you pay? I cant fun one anywhere now
@@BIGRUSHP , I bought the frame in Sept of 2018. I paid basically retail, which was about $3,000 back then for FRAME only (and with rear shock).
Ditch ebike stuff for pinion box with downtube storage = dream bike
Great video 👌
Love your reviews. Top notch 👍
I want one.
Really good video, thank you! X
Great content, as always Guy. Wonder why they spec the base model with the E7000 and not the E8000 . 🤔

Similar spec to the Liteville 301CE Pro which is cheaper !
Yep, quite different bikes in ride feel though. Have you watched the Liteville video on my channel?
What's your height Guy?
180cm
@@GuyKesTV cheers mate 👍🏿
