The moderator herself is heavily biased person. She tried to hear a favourible reply to her leading questions but almost everyone disappointed her except Shashi Tharoor who had to say what he said due to party compulsions. Shekhar Gupta was objective in his reply who rightly said ‘by & large elections are fair’ which must have really disappointed the moderator. Except the moderator, everyone else was objective in this good discussion.
The moderator is NDTV's ex anchor Nidhi Razdan who fell for non existing teaching post in an American University and in a hurry gave up her job in NDTV and went to USA only to find later on that there was no such post. She was ridiculed on social media (logonne maza liya).

To Shashi's point that what would happen if a government fell in the middle of its term, well, amend the constitution to make an exception for such cases and hold re-elections. I can't see why that should be hard. Also the fact that elections are a tool in the hands of the masses to voice their opinions about the ruling dispensations and give them short shrift in case they fail to govern is another symptom of our dysfunction, and something that plies deep into what is wrong with our election system and our democracy. The point is we need morally strong and upright people to come into politics and we must think of ways of incentivising them to do so. Otherwise, people who come into politics are forever looking out for filthy lucre at the expense of everything else, and naturally there is corruption from day one, and parties automatically set themselves up for anti-incumbency at the next round of elections. And this entire business of opposition parties alternating among themselves every five years is meaningless, and does nothing to the status quo. Every time a party is voted into power, they go about their corrupt ways with impunity, because they are not afraid of losing the elections next time around, for they know that the other party would resort to the same things when elected and that would then set them up for failure at the next round, and this is how our democracy functions. No wonder we are 122nd in the global hunger index with so much money sloshing around, for no one is concerned about real governance, in this unfortunate country of ours governed mostly by thugs and goons concerned only with lining their pockets however they see fit, what else can you hope for? And we seem to be stuck in this perpetual cycle of corrupt governments alternating with each other with strangely, no one actually noticing anything at all, and accepting all of it as the status quo. to occur before it can truly succeed.
All major groups need to believe in freedom and equality for all and have respect for human dignity.
Origin of terrorism in the context of Islam is in the "belief" and the concept of "Kafir" as other lesser human beings.
For Democracy to succeed, a requirement is for All references to "Kafir" be taken out of Quran.
That is Quran needs to be modified, with references to "Kafir" edited out of Quran.
Until this happens all moslems will be considered terrorists,
Even if their basic human instinct is against accepting the term "Kafir ".
Because of this word "Kafir" moslems are left believing other Human beings are subhuman.
