Thank you - decisions, decisions :0)) This gong has been wonderful to play - we sold it last year after having it for some years and there are days when I wonder if it was the right decision and other times I know it was. It played beautifully and was like several gongs in one but didn't always fit in with others we take out regularly. I've met a 42 tone of life Cosmo in person gosh about 8 years ago at what was the old Chiron Institute in Stoke on Trent and it was a lovely gong - understand your dilemma. I prefer to hear gongs in person to make a decision. Best wishes - Pam and Jurek
@ thank you that’s kind, I really love having the gongs in our lives - are you in the UK - do you play in the UK? We haven’t recorded many of the gongs as our home is quite small and the sound is challenging to record. Best wishes 😊
Thank you for your feedback - pleased you enjoyed this and the 21 days - we'll be finishing the last track this afternoon unless the lure of going out for a walk in the cold, foggy fields to take photos of trees and spiders webs and the still in bloom ox eye daisies that edge the now ploughed earth gets hold of us in which case we'll be doing it this evening - lighting a candle, offering our thanks to be able to do this and our love to everyone who listens. It's been a big learning experience for us both and hopefully we're more confident in front of the camera - give me a hall of a hundred people and the evening flows, being in front of a camera is different. Enjoy your Sunday - best wishes Pam
Absolutely Amazing. the careful effort you put into the gentle continuous striking , wonderful, wonderful sounds. I will getting a gong soon. this is so helpful. great techniques to watch. Is is possible for you to list the type of flummies and mallets your used?
Apologies, have only just seen your comment. The flumies are Bear Love flumies and the first smaller mallets are Olli Hess Profi Gong Mallet M70 , the purple mallets are also Ollie Hess - Olli Hess Profi Gong Mallet S186 , with an M7 Paiste together with an Encore Guerilla gong mallet to finish with. Enjoy your gong - my first gong was a Chiron many years ago now and I remember the thrill of playing and exploring the sounds and actually it's still my go to gong to play at home. Best wishes
This is very intense, thank you. (I am wearing headphones). On a side note, I just purchased a 24" Paiste water gong Nr.4 and I was wondering , since im new to Gongs, if I can get a whale sound out of this particular model. Thank you again for the wonderful , if you allow me, cosmic connection you make . Have a wonderful day .
Thank you for listening and commenting, I'm not sure what you're saying though - are you saying this is a video recorded for asmr? Best wishes Pam and Jurek :)
@@sound-and-silence I mean the movement of your hand over that Gong is visual asmr. U have such a beaut channel I don't know how u play so many different things; don't stop!
I'm sorry for the delay in replying I somehow missed your comment - what an interesting question, we vary speed and volume through our playing and this is recorded at home so we tend to play gently. When we are playing in the big community halls we adjust to the acoustics, how it is furnished, what type of flooring and how many people there are in the hall. We soundcheck before and after people have come in. To play one gong at home like this is beautiful for us as we get the opportunity to really explore the different qualities in the gong - it's a beautiful gong. We have found the Universe gong to hold its beautiful voice when played louder. Happy playing - best ishes - Pam and Jurek
so good! I cant decide if I want this gong or the 42 tone of life cosmo for my next purchase

Amazing sound! I am considering getting a Universe myself. Do you usually play this gently? Does the gong respond well to louder playing as well?
