I was fortunate to have seen President Reagan twice in person in 1984 during his reelection campaign at Perryburg and Bowling Green, Ohio. I was too young to vote but he instilled into me my interest in politics and taught me the importance of being a conservative. I am not sure who this LIFE Magazine reporter was but he came across pushy and somewhat imposing with President Reagan in his line of question - at least at the onset. By the mid-point of the interview, the reporters' disposition seemed to change. By the end, whether the reporter liked President Reagan or not, you could tell that the President softened this guy up and the reporters' disposition had changed. This was great to watch and for any tie makers out there - I'd sure like to find that tie President Reagan was wearing. Truly unique, like Present Reagan. Thanks for sharing.
Only commenting because this was the very day I was born. I obviously don't remember this interview. I was most likely preoccupied with crying and wondering what happened to my previously quiet and comfy living quarters of the previous 9 months or so.
Gorbachav remembered, he asked Reagan , if a alien forece attacked our country would you help us, and Reagan replied of course we would..
Love love..
Love love ni mama

"Mine"
I love that 27 minutes in he's told he can have a 'two minute flip through' of the photos....12 minutes later, they're done!
I can’t stand this damn interviewer. He should have just asked a question, sat back and listened. The constant interruptions annoys me.
He was rude.
Not to believe in God, your soul is empty and you are unhappy. Ask and you shall recieve.
Completely false.
Its only mr.presedent good morning. Po..
President Regan promoted the greatest antinuclear defence with SDI. I just hope it works with the new supersonic missiles of China and Russia.
