I wrote The Spirit in the run-up to Pentecost Sunday, for our son, Ronan, after he was involved as a passenger in a horrific car on Mother's Day, 2024, to remind Ronan of the spirit that once took us to the top of the highest mountain in Ireland. Carrauntoohil, the same spirit that is helping him now in recovery, four months after the accident.
