I have JCA50 (basically the 50 watt version) and its brilliant, I also own a mid 80's jcm800 and a 5150 block letter, and the Jet City is the amp I like the most of the 3, bought mine new for £250 6 or 7 years ago, and love it, never looked back
I have the same exact JCA100H, impulse bought in 2019, never fired it up, need a cab. Is it too loud for home playing? I'm deciding if I should keep it or sell it
To be honest it wasn't until I made this video that I connected with the amp as in my mind I thought I had better Amps (bogner, victory etc) but it's an awesome amp. You can still get good tones out if it playing at home. However, when I out it through my Fryette power station and opened it up it sounded so much more aggressive. That said if I couldn't do that I would still be happy with the tone out if it.
You can get decent cabs off the used market from guitar center online…and they can’t be beat for shipping rates… to be honest the fact that you didn’t buy a cab and are worried about your neighbors means that you probably bought too much amp for your needs…I mean even a 20 watt combo version amp can get stupid loud…
@@dddd717Fired it up yesterday at a friend's rehearsal room and boy, sounds massive and it can perfectly be played at bedroom volumes. I was actually surprised.
hey man, thanks. I haven't tried a 50wbut I would imagine it would have the same tone and character. They are stunning amps. I had a highly modded 20w a couple of years ago and that was a little monster of an amp. Good luck if you pick one up mate.
Yes the 50 watt is the same as it uses 6l6 power tubes as well. The 20 watt uses el84…which a great for lower volume but when pushed harder the tone can get a bit muddy.
Dude that thing rips! Holy hell it's glorious!!

They're great amps. I have the HDM version, which I got for silly money.
Hey man, thanks for checking the video out. Glad you are enjoying yours.

@@chasingtone2022 im worried about loudness mainly, I'm sure I can dial a good tone, but I don't want my family or neighbours to hate me lol
@@gmr9701turn that thing up ….your fam will always love you and your neighbors talk shit behind your back anyway

Sounds incredible. Do you think you can get the same tone and character out of the 50w? Thanks for posting
