Excellent explanation, can not be more easier and clearer, thank you so much! The pattern is simple but looks very beautiful. I found, that the chain length has to divide by 8 rather than 4, as I did 76 and it did not work. So 80, then 72, 64 etc
How did it work with 80 chains? I've tried 3 times and still have too many stitches. I understand the concept so I will work math to figure out correct starting chain amounts but 80 doesn't go either.

How do you know what size to make for different age children and adults?
How many chains do I make to fit an adult person Please ?
I measured the person's head, then did a chain to the length in cm. I have mad 4 different sizes in different yarn thickness.
