- For the first time ever, UTVUnderground.com headed to Winchester Bay, OR to attend the annual DuneFest off-road event. Every year off-road enthusiasts flock to the coastal dunes of Winchester Bay to take place in this massively popular dune event.
This year, UTVUnderground.com hooked up with Polaris and enjoyed the event alongside thousands of UTV enthusiasts. We brought along UTVUnderground.com racers RJ Anderson and Chad Ragland as well to share in the fun and compete in a couple of DuneFest's organized events. Take a ride with us and enjoy the highlights from our trip to DuneFest!

There is a vid on youtube of the final race of the last man standing and the guy filming it was saying that the 900 xp had a turbo on it

1000 with paddles, XP900 without paddles...and the 900 kept the lead through most of the race? I also think the 900 is likely faster than the 1000. Other than a really cool suspension, I don't see a need to trade up.

roomer has it that they were going to connect all three dunes together to make one park that would make Oregon the most desirable sand destination in America. wish they would hurry up with that! loading and unloading three times sucks!
the 900 with bighorns should be faster off the line.. wheel spin = revs faster.... The 1000 clearly pulled it up the hill - there was also very little to no passing room..

Winchester bay is cool n all until you hit the trails and openness of north bend.spinreel hauser box car, horse fall, bull run, and of course the beach. So much more open area and land mass to ride. That little race in the vid is ahow our group is.. minus the hitting each other, but for 1-2 hrs at a time. Got a week til my 1000 comes in. Got to ride a white lightning all of labor day weekend. Had to order. Definitely a more powerful better riding machine
