Are split headlights cool or just too much?
The split looks great to me. COOL.
They are spot on 😍
Cool 😎
it is looks cool on X7 ... I just hate the idrive 8 screen and no A/C
Very stupid looking.
They nailed the whole thing. The M60 is by far the one to go for, awesome looks outside and inside.
If money no object, M60i for sure
Great review! THANKS!
Glad it was helpful!
Good job BMW. I like everything about the new X7 👍👍
Non M car fitted with the new super S68 engine! Winner! I love the design of the LCI. Great car. Fantastic video @bmwblog.
Thank you.
Looks amazing
I love that blue!
Split headlights? Just like the Hyundai Kona?
That's a silly comparison. They don't even look alike and BMW's design is more complex and looks better in every way.
I love the previous one
Not the first or the last car. Seriously...
If you put the 2023 non M sport X7 next to Hyundai Santa Fe they look like brother and sister lol
@@kennyleong6500 Yoi can say that about many many cars. And what about a Citroen C5 Aircross? Or a Skoda Kodiaq?
Amazing design 👏
Great review. Any day now we should get ours. We have the 2019 x7 50i when it first launched. There was not an m50 option until the 2020, so we are excited to upgrade.
You will enjoy the M60i. It's such a capable and fun car. Honestly, I drove it quite hard and it could have gone even faster.
@@bmwblog i went and looked at a m60 they got in and I’m quite underwhelmed w the start up sound compared to our 50i. The mild hybrid system makes it start up w no noise after it’s been warmed up. I just feel it’s a downgrade in every aspect. No fog lights, no laser lights, no knob, no ac buttons, no exciting start up, no screens in the back. Man, i just don’t know what to think. Guess we’ll have to drive it and see. The facelift is ok, the 23” wheels were real nice, but overall it’s a total down grade from our fully loaded 2019 x7 50i. /:
my 540 lease is up soon. Checking to see how long the wait time is for this one. Escalades are 18-24 months!
Not sure, the local dealer would know honestly
Is there an option to buy (later) all season run flats for these? I like the 275/315 but hear only summer/winter tires are available at these sizes
You can always order separate tires. Just not sure which brand offers them in that size
No, there are no all-season run flats available for direct replacement
The front fascia makes it look like the face of a Batarian from Mass Effect.
I like black colour X7 like mysterious spaceship 🤩🤣🤔🚬😎🙃💙👍💋👻💪🧔👁️🗨️💀
Audi did the same thing I believe with the chrome bar in the rear with Q7 etc
Reminds me of the Hyundai Kona. Well done, BMW
I really like the new X7 in that frozen blue color! That's how I'd order this.
Marina Bay Blue is awesome
Order this1ist through VERY EXPENSIVE WARRANTY!..............Then order GOD to give you your time on earth back when waiting for & going to and from rip off dealer.for " Check Engine Light! if you are still so egocentric check your stupidity at the door!
It's ridiculous that you can't actually order frozen marina bay blue. I'm week 39 build and only frozen colors available are arctic grey, black, and deep grey. Why market the car in a color you can't buy??
So not available yet? Interesting. For which market?
split headlights is NOT a first on BMW. My E31's both had split headlamps, I ordered an X740i - next stop Steve Dinan. Nor is this the first time an M engine appeared on a non-M car. There are a few examples in the past, not the least of which were my E31 850CSi.
Both valid points
Thought this would have the V12 from the 760
V12 was phased out
V8 (s68) 👍💙
One thing I like about BMW is that it pushes Mercedes-Benz to do much better. Without them MB will take things for granted.
💯
Everything looks good except those headlights.
They need to change their infotainment system to all models
It looks like most BMWs are now getting iDrive 8
I actually like the previous version more.
Same hp and Tq as old M50. Except looks so in cohesive from the front now.
Yes, just a bit more power, thanks to the 48 volt. About 12 hp if I remember correctly
@@bmwblog no, exact same 523 hp, exact same 0-60 4.5 sec time. Maybe a tad bit better fuel economy with 48V mild hybrid system.
It reminds on Hyundai Tucson eu version with this lights!! german cars start to looks outside and inside like koreans
Please bring back those big headlights. And the dashboard?. You have to glance before any adjustments. Not good @ 100 or even 70 mph driving.
Not a fan of the split headlight design. It’s giving Pontiac Aztec
And that's wrong how?
The front now looks like Darth Vader’s helmet.
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🏻
Headlights, I can accept. iDrive 8, I cannot.
What bothers you about the iDrive 8?
@@bmwblog -- 8 shortcuts are gone. Climate control buttons are gone. Heated seats and ventilated seat buttons are gone and are now in iDrive. WILL NOT BUY A BMW again until this crap is fixed. I get it's a simplification and cost cutting measure on their end. But if I'm paying $70+K for a car, they can afford to put some FREAKING BUTTONS in there -- sorry. I'm not navigating through a UI menu structure every time I want to make simple adjustments -- that's not even safe. People need to be watching THE ROAD -- not fumbling around with the screen. They just removed one of their greatest competitive advantages. I might as well broaden my search quite a bit if they are going to get on the idiotic buttonless bandwagon fashion trend.
@@ShowMeWhatINeedToKnow it's so interesting how different we all are. For someone who hates one thing on a new BMW, there is another who loves it. I'm okay with idrive 8, it's not bad. I just wish the physical buttons stayed. But again, minor inconvenience in the end. I'm also in the camp of liking the split headlights.
Yeah, recent research showed that physical buttons are safer. Hopefully they walk back some of this next gen.
Lol those complaining about buttons and worried about safety are straight up dummies stuck in the past and reluctant to change. It’s called “voice activated controls” which makes manual buttons obsolete, allows you to control all the things you can do with buttons and is a much safer feature to use. It has nothing to do with “cost cutting measures”. It’s just an outdated feature…
soft closing doors????????

Great review, worst front design by BMW
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the review
headlights remind me of pontiac aztec, one of the worst car designs ever. I prefer pre modification headlights
Split lights and the new iDrive 8 are my reason why I will not buy BMW again unless they fix it.
One thing is to have an awesome responsive handling car, but functionality and ugliness is also a factor!
4.00 The chrome along the rear is just a teaser that the next rear lights will be like: the ugly strip light. And probably the next version is going to have a strip light also in the front.
Sad times are coming in the car industry, what is left of it because of all these smartphone-selfdriving-hipster influenced EVs.
I dont think they will go back to small screens. iDrive 8 likely needs more UI real estate. It's a complex infotainment system.
Ok boomer, I guess
The climate is fixed on the screen. It does not go anywhere.
What do you mean?
@@bmwblog @BMWBLOG I watched the entire video and I drove the IX recently. For me the climate control being on the screen is not a problem vs the hard button. I like the cleaner interior design. The exterior design is nice IMO. It looks like its price. The prior model looked too much like a bigger X5. I do not like the rear design it too bulky looking, but I think the design is a lot better than the bland GLS (which I do not see it as an S class equivalent to W222 and no even close to W223) as MB says it is. I love the channel and videos. Any insides to the next 5 and i5 as well as the XM?
@@hkevinmiami M2 is next. Then XM in November. Drive reviews for both are next Spring. i5 and 5 series reviews are about a year away.
@@bmwblog Okay. Thank you!
Update your intro music, looks like something KIA would use for a video. Boring - not a good match to the BMW brand or content. Love the car 🔥🔥 ordered it in frozen grey metallic m60i full loaded. There is no M badge on the sides in USA build. Not sure why this one has it. I’m still not sure how I feel about no buttons for climate control. But basically I got this exact configuration and trims. Very beautiful 😍 - great review
As I said, shoot over some suggestions. In the end, it's really just a 5 sec clip. It had the M badge because it was an EU spec car.
@@bmwblog your review was one of the best out there man! Great job and love the drive portion of your description of the feel of the ride. I only test drove the 22 m50 so can’t wait to see how the new 2023 feels. This is my first BMW - sold my 2020 GLS580. And flipped from Mercedes
@@jazzyflorida3757 that's very kind. Thank you. The 48v is what makes the difference Between M50i and this one. But also the S68 when it comes to sound and power delivery. Just feels a bit more like an X7M than ever before.
If the wind noise is anything as bad as my 2022 X7 M50i, I’d stay very far away from this M60i. No BMW US dealership will address that known issue.
Do you have the acoustic glass and still have wind noise?
@@hamada128 Yes
The LED strip just like cheap gimmicks as showy christmas light decoration on cheap houses. It has no taste, style or fineness of luxury car what-so-ever! Car review is excellent, though.
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words. At least the review is good :)
Looks like Hyundai from the front
PASS, Previous X7 is one of the most beautiful cars in the world,.
Styling is subjective. While I liked the previous one, it just looked too much like a larger X5
Sad!!! BMW had to copy Hyundai and Chevrolet with the split headlights. BMW has lost their class and sexy styling
NO, they look horrible and esp on a luxury brand because like for BMW it loses its iconic look, this trend you see on cheaper less quality cars like say the kona, etc
I hear you, but if you read below, there are others that equally love them. So that shows how subjective styling is
A Hyundai is classy too.
Front looks hideous.
Screen om top of the dash looks like an afterthought. And climate controls integrated into the infotainment system is a SERIOUS problem.
Lexus LX600 ordered 👌🏻
Love your video channel. Hate the intro music. Does not really fit such a brand or your journalistic style.
Just a music option that plays for 5 seconds. Not that big of a deal honestly. But if you have a better suggestion, ready to listen.
When I think of BMW, Miles Davis playing fast and furious comes to mind.
@@user-gl5ld9vm7i will look into it. I'm Not a sound engineer nor Hans Zimmer :)
Very unoriginal looking headlights. Reminds me of Mitsubishi or Nissan.
I have this car, in Brooklyn grey, traded my 22 m50 in for it and regret it. Total garbage...nothing but electrical issues.
Nice Korean SUV. You lost me with this one, BMW. Sorry.
Maybe the design is weird, at the front, but this X7 is a lot more than just those lights. The car was improved in all ways honestly, and it's a great SUV. My biggest quirks? Slow moving third row seats and only 12.8 cubic space, compared to the 14 cubic space in the competition.
@@bmwblog I have a 2022 XB7 which is great car. However, it looks like I will be moving to something else next.
@@timmietz the XB7 is a beauty. Not sure I would move from that one
@@bmwblog I agree with your comment on space. I have a 2022 X7 M50i and I feel like I'm in between a wannabe full size Escalade type Suburban like vehicle and an X5. Not quite as sporty as the X5 and not quite as roomy as an Escalade. The LCI look is not growing on me. I would rather wait for the Rivian R1S than get an X7 again.
The day when BMW became a Korean
Prejudice?
Not cool at all. Fire the designer
It looks weird
which part?
@@bmwblog those headlights
Roof sucks
NOOOO!!!!!!, split headlights are ugly as hell.
Too much! Looks like a Hyundai/Genesis. The old design was aggressive, and not liking the screen, look at how much glare there is and everything is in the screen?
Well it's very ugly design wise
as a bmw fanboy, this is ugly
İt's very ugly, ...
ugly interior design
Which part is ugly? Curious
Very ugly , too lousy, very sad to said
BMW can’t make their any uglier. Sad they copied Hyundai and Chevrolet . Both budget line of cars.
