Look at where his cursor (aimer) is when he throws the stun. It's aimed at the windowsill/wall. The animation of the stun is not the actual path of the stun it merely the animation. Where you aim is where it goes. He missed the window by a couple inches. Another example of the animation is the thermite grenade wherever it sticks it appears to have a very small damage radius however if you go stand next to a thermite grenade you will be damaged while you're not within the spark animation
