I've had mine for probably 4 years I never had an issue with it everything works Bluetooth screen mirroring tuners... I would make changes tiny changes... how about the add-on adapter and all my Toyota speakers and everything worked great everything's great.....
Can you please help with setting up my iphone with mirroring: I have a pioneer w4500nex and I downloaded the weblink app on my phone but it does not seem to pop up on my stereo… how do you connect them?
I have the 4500 nex and 8400nex on my car And i say that if you guys want the best the 8400 nex blows away 4500 nex. The capacitive touch on 8400 is made out of glass and very responsive.

Thanks. I recently purchased and installed this unit. Were you ever able to get the unit to automatically switch the display to the backup camera? I can manually switch to/from the camera, but with my OEM head unit, it would switch to the camera automatically when the car is in reverse.
@GORILLA PIMPIN MIKE At the end of the day I returned the unit. Something happened and it went permanently into backup mode and there was no way to get it out. Even doing a factory reset did nothing. It was the second unit from this model I had that did that, so buh bye. I'll get by on my OEM unit for now until I get the scratch saved up for a new radio...maybe by then another producer will have a removable faceplate with carplay.
@@matthewsheinberg1517 Backup mode as in Reverse Camera? My Pioneer needs the mode switched to Battery instead of Ground for it to display the backup camera when only in Reverse.
I have this radio and tried connecting WebLink but radio tells me to connect to phone. I have a iPhone 12 Mac Pro and my phone was connected when it gave me that message. Can you please help me.
I dont mind the gace removel i had the alpine halo and only had it for 8month before they broke my window and stoled all my system only to see them put it up for sale in offer up for 300!!!!🤬🤬🤬
DO NOT BUY!!!! Avh w4500 nex FULL OF ISSUES. LIFESPAN ON AVERAGE OF 18 MONTHS 😂 cheap SD cards used that fail and pioneer will charge you $200 a year to fix it. What a joke. Don’t waste your money
Those head units have to be wired to parking brake, usually when parking brake is engaged your unit is “unlocked” meaning that you can watch RUclips but when you have to drive PB is disengaged and the headunit becomes “locked” which basically limits the access to some of the distracting features. This is why you buy a brake bypass device so you cab enjoy a “unlocked” device all the time. You can check eBay or Amazon “pioneer brake bypass “

Might be a silly question, but have you wired the reverse wire to the shifter R wire ?

You need a parking brake wire bypass so you can watch RUclips anytime.
