I’d never seen Robin so scary since her crew mates try to convince her to join in the docking 6 at the thriller bark. Her reaction gave Sanji goosebumps.
There are two types of scary one is the “angry devil”scary the other is the “I’m gonna make your life hell if you even suggest that” scary

I finally realized what I like about this form... the demon has her pre-timeskip hairstyle/look and darker skin tone. That's the Robin I first fell in love with as a character and I never really got used to her post-timeskip look.

I am so in LOVE with Robin's devil look. It looks so menacing and strong. She truly lived up to her namesake devil child, eventhough she's more of a devil woman.
You know what made this scene even more brutal is the fact that Robin could of defeated black Maria with that Fish man karate move but no she chose to turn into a damn Demon and break her spine hands and legs, damn has to be the most brutal scene in one piece hands down don't mess with Robin

So, Robin can turn into the Chernabog from Fantasia. That's scary and downright awesome.
Perfect visualization and tension. The splat on the ice wall was the perfect touch to what was to been seen on the other side. They call her the Devil Child and with the Devill Fruit lore drop in the most recent chapter Robins awakened Devil Fruit power molded with what she believed herself to be when she consumed it.
The added touch of little robin doing sauls laugh was perfect

literal chills i tell you!! i've been waiting for this to finally be animated!! so unbelievably happy how they elevated robin's fight in the anime!! I'm so happy with how we saw what massive power this woman has!! what she learned in the time skip apart from the improvements we saw in the whole post time skip and this whole fight was just amazing, doing a lot for robins character arc and has shown how she grew even more.. let's freaking gooooo, and robins voice actress did it so flawlessly with the demonio fleur...chefs kiss!!

This was literally EPIC. The voice actor did an amazing job, cus she sounded terrifying. Robin definitely has one of the best character developments in the show, she grew so much; emotionally, mentally. I also love how she and Luffy are the only ones in the crew who can now become giants

Robin's ability is in my opinion the most fascinating one in the One Piece series. It provides an incredible amount of both utility and power, yet comes with an incredible amount of vulnerability.
Easily the most OP fruit in the series if you don't count Gear 5's Toon Force

Us Robin fans have been waiting for this for so long. Her moment to shine again in so long was so well done!
Robin’s seen Hell… it’s everything on fire and being blown to rubble, while everyone around you is dying. On top of that, the only person on your side gets frozen solid and the one who did tells you to run and keep running.
One of the best moments in all of One Piece animated so beautifully. Took a perfect chapter and made it even better. I absolutely love the Devilman Crybaby vibes from Robin, and the clutch actually felt painful 😭
Amazing performance by Robin's voice-actor Yuriko Yamaguchi- her inflection during Demonio Fleur is killer~!

On that day all those years ago she gained and lost something: she gained the epithet of Devils Child, and lost her giant friend, Saul. Now she has become the embodiment of that Devil Child name, and has become a giant like her lost friend. Its amazing

I never realized that the Demonio Fleur form was that big…it gave me AOT vibes. This scene was executed very nicely, from Robin’s VA capturing the dark tone of this form to Black Maria’s screams of pain. Well done👏👏👏

@@mrace7782 as far as I know it’s still a mystery. I currently don’t think it’s Haki, but Robin is way overdue to learn it. She spent 2 years with Dragon and Sabo, who both know it(we assume Dragon does)

The way those arms moved makes me think Robin was at least a little inspired by her captain.
I cant wait to see how she actually pulled this off since her devil fruit (currently) only allows her to replicate bits of her own body - yet she somehow sprouts horns, fangs and wings here. Such a cool scene! (reminds me a bit of the old devilman films)
She probably used teeth to create the fangs and the horns, lots of teeth together merging just like she does with her limbs
Robin's been able to sprout wings using her power as far back as Thriller Bark. She can form larger shapes using countless copies of her limbs.
It's a devil fruit awakening, probably. They were never direct with it, but I'm pretty sure it's obvious. Her fruit might actually be similar to Luffy's. It appears to be a paramecia, but it could actually be a mythical zoan with the properties of an awakened paramecia/logia just like Luffy's fruit.
I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO SEE THIS ANIMATED BROOOOO!!!! Now we just need a good game with this as a part of her moveset 😌

Naotoshi Shida fully animated the entire sequence of the Demonio Fleur I AM BEYOND HAPPY!!!!!!!!!
This is how Dope and OP Robin is:
She defeated Black Maria without Haki. This shows she's ridiculously strong because she didn't have to use haki to completely subdue an ANCIENT Zoan devil fruit user into submission, in their HYBRID form, and then off them.
Her with Haki would be so OP. And this is also a feat because it was already commented how draining Gigante Fleur is, and that's like a Pseudo Awakening in itself, she got beat badly with brace knuckles without the safety of haki reinforcement, and still had the stamina, endurance and strength to continue on, activate Fishmen Karate Giganteum, and THEN activate Demonio Fleur completely (she could've been exhausted, activated it, then deactivated it due to loss of stamina), and defeated Black Maria.
Robin is one of THEE BEST Devil Fruit Users of the series. And this display shows she's truly ready ready for the Blackbeard Crew fight. This is a Captain of my own Crew, 1st Yonko Commander like showing. How many devil fruit users have we seen this much capability and competence of their devil fruit outside of top tier yonko Commander devil fruit users...

I like how when robin fights her opponents get folded both metaphorically and literally.
I know Robins appendages can sprout like flowers, it'd be cool if she could manipulate her appendages to have attributes of different flowers. For example, thorns on a rose, stickiness like nectar or wax, poisonous flowers, etc.
I have rewatched this so many times in one day, its not healthy at this point lol. This is why robin will forever be my favorite OP character

Jimbei's Armament Haki to Harden her skin even a little bit and help refine her fishman Karate because she vibed with him during Wano once they met up.
Koala's Fishman Karate Basics.
Her years of motivation and experience through emotional trauma and being labled as a demon and them embracing the title, just to embrace it and become the Demon of the crew.
The hint's she used Haki are that she snapped Black Maria's threads in Demonio Fluer so it couldn't affect her but she is new to using Haki so she cant maintain it long.
Even in a few moments, she snapped all of Black Maria's joints.

@@emaboya1237 I wouldn't be surprised if she could. She had time with Jimbei, Sabo and Koala. Her crew also has many Haki users so she knows how the flow of energy works and with Armament training she could probably use it but only for brief moments compared to the crew. On top of that, she wraps herself in layers of hands she coats herself with. Robin is the smartest person in the crew and probably the fastest learner but with all the limbs she drains herself faster. The rules of her fruit sadly backfire because every one of those hands also take a toll on her once they are dismissed but she will also gain more experience too.
There's no confirmation of haki, she's just really strong.

@@dragonsky8396 She spent a year with Dragon and Sabo, presumably they at least taught her the theory behind Armament Haki. It's possible that Demonio Fleur was a result of Robin figuring out how to make it work in practice. She's the 5th strongest Straw Hat (behind Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Jinbe), she needs to have Haki going forward.

The animation has definitely come a long way since Dressrosa (while the animation was pretty bad, it wasn't as bad as DBS' lows), One Piece now has some of the best animated and directed moments in all of anime.

1:12 I like how the animation on the hands moving is a throwback to when we first met Robin and did not quite understand what her power was but it was cool how it would cut to black and play a sting while just a bunch of hands emerged eerily from the darkness.
