She's technically better than some give her credit for, and her charisma and artistry are off the charts. My favorite female vocalist, too.

Also, while these 'reworks' give us a view of what to expect structurally/tonally going forward, what I am really interested to see is ORIGINAL WORK...songs written specifically for the unique abilities and interests of the new 4-member Nemophila. That will be fun!
Mayu is a bit flat on her cleans in the beginning verse and the bridge, but she corrects into the first chorus, but I much prefer hearing the real voice than having it engineered. Still my favorite vocalist, male or female. The bass solo is great, but I will always miss Saki.

Great reaction when Haraguchi-San covered Saki’s guitar spot.
Haraguchi-san changed up her bass. Instead of her Red Sadowsky Jazz, she is using an Altelier Z, looks to be a Jazz format, but instead of the two pole pieces per string on a Jazz, she has one looks like 1/4 pole per string on each pickup. I don't know what pups she's rockin. But that's not a normal jazz.
They seem to have gotten better
It seems like Hara really shifted her playing to almost double Hazuki and almost play Saki's parts.
As far as what you said about lyrics , the entire "look inside a mirror of yourself " part is just so deep and moving.
I don't think alot of people notice or appreciate the depth to their lyrics.
A song similar in subtle depth with lyrics of there's is hypnosis.
As far as backup singing , they can all hold it down and Tamu can actually sing lead/solo vocals and carry a song. Singing is just one of her talents, along with drums, all kinds of percussion, guitar, bass . Also sax and that big azz Japanese xylophone like instrument. (I can't think of it's name)

I'm heading over from Australia to see them in Aichi, Nagoya on September 13. Cant wait. The awesome 4some are so busy right now.💙💙💙💙. I'm hoping to see a brand new band called Launcher No.8 as well. They have an EP out released in May called Stylebender thats worth checking out. They dont have any video clips they are that new. There is a live concert video of them called "BB Street Final series" by RUclipsr called "At this Moment" that got me onto them. Sound is not 100% but you get the idea of what they are up for. The lead has an awesome scream and smile.

Yes!! I have been worried about the band missing a guitarist. But this sounds great ! Bass filled in 🤘. Of course Tamu can play a continuous drum fill with her eyes closed!!!!

I've got to be honest: when I saw the 4-piece version of 'Oiran' on the live stream they did a while back I was concerned. IMO the bass filling in place of one of the guitar solos didn't work on that one and I thought they needed to rearrange the song further. OTOH, in THIS song, I was just grinning right through Hara-chan's bass solo and continued to do so until the end of the video. This one WORKS!
For me, this video and arrangement were hugely reassuring.
