Not a clothing guy myself but always enjoy learning new things. Now I have Lacoste shirts in my memory bank when out sourcing. Great video and very well done. I feel I learned a lot in a short, concise, to the point tutorial. Thanks Adam!!
Thanks. You're referring to Lacoste sport polo. So it's important to understand fakes don't try to fake all variances. But also. I think you're right about Lacoste sport polo having 3 buttons. It's just not something you see very often.
ALL my Lacoste polos procured from legit Lacoste stores in India RUN COLOUR. I wash them myself under cold tap water and sparingly use Godrej Ezee detergent which is the finest. Any reason for this colour run? Every time these are washed without exception.
The biggest way to know your lacoste is real or fake is the embroided logo, it should not be stitched on the fabric itself like how RL, Fred Perry, Tommy Hilfiger and other polo competitors do it
I've seen conflicting info about the buttons. Do any come with 3? I have a few polo's I'm trying to see if they're the real mc coy. I can't remember where I got them from, I'm sure it was a gift from family and they wouldn't intentionally buy fake or 2nd hand. I've not wore them a lot (as I've got older I prefer a softer cotton normal t shirt next to my skin. Is there any other give aways? Like do any of them come without the side split at the bottom on the sides? Tia
@BaldyPalPicking I have 2 and the buttons look like nice MOP they have more of a sheen rather than shiny. In another video it said the buttons are always sewn at the top and bottom( ie 12 and 6 on a clock face) also on both the badge looks right but are just slightly above the bottom button slit
I have one that looks authentic but has a large croc that is light blue similar to color of shirt. Is that fake? Or were there shirts made with larger logo
If you are in a bazaar or market in Turkey they are all fakes. Too tip! And they are seriously well made, labelled and very difficult to spot. Modern fakes are just getting much better quality 😮😮😮
Thanks for this video ,I appreciate it I got a shirt from my ex wife ,and I just want to check if is original or fake, but of course is so fake same as her.what a shame for her😂
The button trick does not apply to Lacoste sports polos
Good to know. What's the difference?
Well they aren’t cotton for a start
There are real French pique Lacoste with two button and limited editions
@@BaldyPalPickingthe Sports polo has three buttons
The Lacoste logo is a crocodile. Named for
Lacoste the tennis player who was nicknamed The Crocodile

That idea doesn't seem to far fetched as me have to know whats original or not😉
They don’t all have 2 buttons the Lacoste sports have 3 buttons
Thank you👏🏾
Thanks for the video. I see genuine buttons can have 4 stitching holes also
Only classic fit polos have Mother of pearl buttons fyi
Some Lacoste slim fits have 3 buttons
Yes I believe the newer ones do. The more prominent polos are the classic 2 button
Great video! Very informative!
Thank you

Hi Tia, newer polos have 3 buttons. Older ones in this video (made 2 years ago) have 2 buttons when 3 buttons started being more popular.
Pay attention to the mother of pearl shine on the buttons. Is it shiny or dull plastic?

@BaldyPalPicking lol I just got it but my name ISNT tia. I meant Thanks In Advance 😆
Great info.. Thanks for sharing

Great video and Awesome tips
My Lacoste Sport Polo has a very thin and feels like 3d printer plastic crocodile on it. Im worried because Ive Never Seen that before
This video is a few years old now. They may be stitching on rubber patches instead of threaded ones.
Lacoste don’t do themselves any favours with its updated designs
I have one that looks authentic but has a large croc that is light blue similar to color of shirt. Is that fake? Or were there shirts made with larger logo
they do make larger crocs on different model shirts. look at the other tips: tag, buttons, sizing. if all of them are different. it could be a fake.
If you are in a bazaar or market in Turkey they are all fakes. Too tip! And they are seriously well made, labelled and very difficult to spot. Modern fakes are just getting much better quality 😮😮😮
but the thing is this is a trash fake, you can get a way better fake right now...
Sure you can. Fakers are getting better and better all the time!
I just bought one that has XXL lol 😂. I got scammed, rip 5$
How much
The video is free to watch!
Polos can run from USD $80-120, though Lacoste often has sales online.

Also Lacoste buttons never say Lacoste on them. Don’t know why the fakers do it
🤵👍
