Up to you if you want to have it for live performing or literally "jamming" out then it really does live up to its name. If you're just wanting to compose beats then the mk3 Maschine and Maschine software will suffice.
shift + perform effect button , auto load the perform effect to the group , no need to move to group and click browse. it is faster.
