Wow! - Much respect to JP Bouvet on drums for this! Imagine having only 3 days to prepare, and having to learn those Matt H. drum parts haha! Amazing job. And thanks for the upload, very cool to hear this live finally!
I mean JP is like top 0.1% of drummers so I'm not all that surprised but it's still impressive just because of how ridiculously awkward a lot of periphery songs are to play on the drums And I understand why they played this song because it's relatively easy on the drums. If any periphery song is LOL
They finally did it. This is tied for my favorite Periphery song along with Stranger Things. I learned this whole song on guitar a little over two years ago. Thanks for the video, man!
Stranger things I think everyone agrees is top 5 periphery song. For me it's RACECAR, Stranger Things, Omega, Reptile, and Thanks Nobuo Mile Zero is underrated but their most underrated is Habitual Line Stepper. Or Pale Aura. Periphery ruled
Yeah I'd expect he'd be touring with his signature just like the rest, the main reason why they made them, but I guess Misha wanted to mix it up. Regardless, still sounded good
Dan Hahn I feel bad for him, I hate it when I'm playing shows and my kit starts falling apart or I hit my knuckle with my drumsticks and play the rest of the show in pain and covered in blood lol true story
Can we take a moment and appreciate Jake taking on Wes's solo? Really clean stuff! Watched them perform Racecar years ago and he nailed Loomis's solo on that as well.
So does this mean if they do "Erised" live, Mark will have to do the John Petrucci Solo, because I heard something about them pulling straws on which solo they got to do.
same thing happened to me for the NYC show. I might fly to Denver just to catch them before the tour is over...never saw AAL before and was really looking forward to seeing them.

JP Bouvet is a legend. Totally nailed it.
Holy crap I can't believe they played this live
no one commented about JP nailed the performance?
I love this song. My best friend just died in November in a motorcycle crash. Periphery has helped me through so much shit.
Sorry to hear man. I lost a couple of my best friends over the years. Still think about em a lot
Amazing! Spencer killed it and Mrak with the growlz
10/10 gold at 1:54 when Spencer hits himself in the mouth with with the mic.

Microphone hits Spencer at 1:55 LOL
that was really audible, bet it hurt. lol on a good note, this was an amazing performance!
I definitely noticed that right away haha he played it off well
Did Matt give JP Bouvet one of his signature V necks for this performance?
Tis the source of his power
Jp is skilled but tis the v neck that enables
no pressure on that solo, Jake LOL
1sheldon it is a Wes Hauch special, I don't blame him those arpeggios are tough asf
Wallace Joseph Goose Wes is a beast, hardly anyone can play it like him
Hahaha
I'm practicing that for ages now and I can just get through it up to speed very sloppy. Wes is such a monster.
JP crushed this. He even wore a V-neck!
Thanks for posting, really wanted to see how JP did! (Awesome)
That misha's Strat tho
Yeah I'd expect he'd be touring with his signature just like the rest, the main reason why they made them, but I guess Misha wanted to mix it up. Regardless, still sounded good
It's a jackson custom shop. He did a NGD thread on sevenstring.org about it
dude fuck misha.
lmao you're an idiot
Melonheadinbed why
Omg Mrak screaming at 6:13 was sick!
anybody else see Spencer headbutt the mic right before he starts singing at 1:55
Jordan Widener yea haha you can hear it too lol
Dan Hahn I feel bad for him, I hate it when I'm playing shows and my kit starts falling apart or I hit my knuckle with my drumsticks and play the rest of the show in pain and covered in blood lol true story
Gracias por subirlo yo también estuve ahí viendo a periphery se rifan
my favourite song of my favourite band
Can we take a moment and appreciate Jake taking on Wes's solo? Really clean stuff! Watched them perform Racecar years ago and he nailed Loomis's solo on that as well.

Even I didn't know I could grin that wide ahhaha fucking amazing

Ikr lol I was like, "where'd that scream come from?"...."OH SHIT IT WAS FUCKIN MARK"
I want to see him do more!
Spencer crushed this song live oh my GOSH! Mark's screaming sounds insane! (3:01)
YO THAT JP BOUVET! HAHAHA SO COOL
Awesome stuff man
Best band!🤘not the same without Nolly though. Side note JP did an amazing fill in job!
MRAK IS FUCKING SCREAMING
Mattie Jones IKR???
Holy shit!
I guess no one wanted to play Wes Hauchs solo, even Jake is having trouble playing this :D
Herrdesrings well the solo is played by wes with a 26fret guitar 😂
he nailed it to be fair
Those front fills LOL that's so unusual but I guess it works. Did a pretty sloopy job though, they didn't even gaff the cables to the stands...
MRAK SCREAMS??? 3:03
Spookey Dootery yes he does!
Nice scream Mark
FUCKING AMAZING SONG ... PINCHE ROLONONONON jajajaja \m/ ...
So does this mean if they do "Erised" live, Mark will have to do the John Petrucci Solo, because I heard something about them pulling straws on which solo they got to do.
ugh i had tickets for thursday night in nyc and didnt go. this is about the worst fomo i've ever felt in my life lol
Will H why would you buy tickets and just not go? Never understand why people do this.
well i had a conflict that made it difficult but ye it was stupid.
same thing happened to me for the NYC show. I might fly to Denver just to catch them before the tour is over...never saw AAL before and was really looking forward to seeing them.
well the solo is played by wes with a 26fret guitar 😂 kudos to jake for playing it in a 24. check out my shitty cover of this song 😁
1.55 lol 😂
That poor bodygaurd coulnd't resist lol he kept looking back
Yo what happened to matt halpern? why he is not played in the knotfest 2017?
mark joven Carampot had a family emergency so had to skip knot fest. Will be back on next tour.
Because JP Bouvet is a fucking legend and had to sub for him with 3 days notice.
ARE THEY ACTUALLY PLAYING OMEGA FOR CONVERGENCE TOUR??? I KEEP SEEING STUFF ABOUT IT
Garrett Warman Yes
fuck yes
Who's that playing drums? That doesn't look like matt
Tucker Cubbon of course it's matt, look at da vneck
JP Bouvet
Matt had a family emergency but he should be back for the North American tour
ruclips.net/video/XxVSiUnSDoE/видео.html
signature vneck but worn by JP Bouvet
Did Spencer just flip off his dead best friend???
MRAKYMRAK WITH THE GROWLYGROWLZ!!!
It annoys me that Nolly doesn't play live.
The Borax Kid he isn’t even in the band anymore lol
I thought he was still a producer for the band and writes all the bass, but for family reasons he doesn't play live anymore.
The Borax Kid na he's fully out now, they posted an update a while ago
Find a new bass player? I'm sure Nolly will still produce though.
Tom Murphy?
MARK HOLCOMB DID FUCKING GROWLS!! WTF
Is Misha playing a strat?!
Its a jackson strat model probably with the new ragnarok pickup.
where was matt?
Jake Griffiths his dad was at the hospital at the time
Where did you go?
Wyatt Wilbourne been super busy in life being poor, I will post something in a few weeks if you are interested like this comment :)
@@missaelknight hey man it's great to hear from you. Im just glad you're alive
Man, hearing Mark scream is cool but kinda unsettling, he's such a nice guy but those screams sound so deadly.

Who is this imposter on drums
JP Bouvet
fuckin hilarous that misha is playing a strat. very not dj0nt
Mikuru-senpai I thought that, funny as fuck being stood with all the 9 string boys with your baby blue strat 😂😂
