Welcome to my channel! I'm reacting to the "best" albums that publications are listing on their Year End Lists for 2023. This is a clip from my stream, after getting a comment requesting it, I listened to Jane Remover's fantastic Census Designated!

jane is one of my fav artists oat so happy you listened to this!!!
I can see why, I was blown away by this album! Now I gotta check out the rest of her stuff..
The title track on here is probably my favorite track of last year. Its incredible the depth that some of these songs can reach without even using DRUMS…
Also worth checking out her previous project “Frailty” from 2021! Much more electronic-based production and a much more palatable listen but it the best way possible. One of only a handful of 10/10 albums in my book!
My thoughts exactly, and there was so much creativity on display! I will definitely be checking out the back catalog ahead of seeing them in February.. so excited now for that show!

1:01 deadAir is such a great label, i love quannnic and super glad u enjoyed this one as well
I'm really tempted to dive deeper into some more stuff Dead Air has put out.. Jane Remover is on that label too right?
@@W-AMSFM Yepp, they're both on deadAir! Another prominent artist under it (which ur probably already familiar with) is quadeca. The label was on a roll towards the 2nd half of 2023, they released 2 albums (which youve reacted to) and a load of singles from Quadeca which have been getting a lotta attention
And while it wasn't released under deadAir in particular, jane actually released another album this year before census under an alt account named Leroy. It was sorta the "conclusion" to the dariacore series, which is basically a SoundCloud mini-genre/subculture jane created centered around samples and high bpm
@@yoda5358 ooooh that's super cool! Yes have heard of quadeca, not super familiar with their actual music though.. need to check it out! I really like the "backstory" of artists like Jane Remover, I get a real Alex G or a Car Seat Headrest vibe from all of the back catalogue they're putting together, it makes the discog really rewarding to listen through and lets you piece together all of the sounds and influences on their later work
