Thank you for the video. I work at Ebene and Mauritius is really booming and becoming a powerhouse in Africa. Please keep on the good work. I love you guys.
My old workplace there, Ceridian in Ebene! I never thought I would miss a place I used to work in but yeah, seeing this video makes me want to jump on a plane to Mauritius and never look back! These are brilliant videos, thank you!
Thank you Bryan and Riki to show us the beautiful Mauritius history I missed Mauritius now I've seen thing that have never saw when I was in Mauritius thanks
That first thing you ate is stuffed tofu, usually stuffed with prawn & pork mince. They probably stuffed it with fish mince there for the general public. You can then steam and pan fry it. It's a very common local chinese dish.
Enjoying your Mauritius walking tours and gourmet exploration. I've been developing an idea for a business in Mauritius and your visits are giving me a better idea of the different communities. Not to be argumentative, however, but I was surprised that you name Mauritius as Africa's richest country. Quick research lists Nigeria in every article, and in Wikipedia, Mauritius is 31st. Might be a good idea to edit this video, or explain to me how you got this information - maybe it's based on other figures than GDP and purchasing power, etc. Looking forward to y9ur next video. I have a friend who has a business and lives in Mauritius. Hoping to get boots on the ground soon, when COVID regs don't require quarantine for 2wks. Like your artwork, Riki, and look forward to seeing more.
A very happy Christmas to you both. Thanks for being brave to do a video with a sore foot Bryan. Get it rested up before the next video. Big contrast from the beaches to very impressive skyscrapers. The list of top RICHEST African countries below but it depends on GDP OR per capita wealth. Well done Mauritius for having the Highest per capita wealth in Africa. (sorry chart was a JPG so I was not able to add it) At $32,700 its more than double South Africa and Namibia where it is between $12 and $13,000.
Happy that you liked our little island Bryan but maybe you are wrong about the first building in the Cyber city of Ebene. The first one was Cyber tower 1 (Now known as Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Tower). Maybe I'm wrong on this bit, my fellow people would correct me on that if needed.
You are 100% correct, the first building was Cyber Tower 1. If I miss spoke I apologize, and there is no way I can say Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Tower, even though I practiced a lot.
Thanks Bryan and Riki for this tour of Ebene. This is a business district set up in the late 1990s by the Indians during the internet boom. Next to it is the charming little village of Reduit, the green campus of the University of Mauritius and many tertiary education institutions. It is a great place to visit.
@@BryanDiscoversWorld It is sad that these kind of business districts are dead at night. The modern thinking is to have a mix of residential buildings and office blocks so as to have a living population within the business district which give more of a feel of a living city.
Hi missing my sis who stays in Curepipe Mauritius Been to Mauritius Was suppose to go there again for nephew wedding on Jan 7 2021 Beautiful place and friendly people
i question your best food court statement... my opinion is that best food court is at Bagatelle ,Grand Baie La Croisette or Trianon... btw awesome video👍
This place is very unlike Mauritius of nice coastal villages with very little traffic. Steps should be taken now to see that it does not become a concrete jungle with frequent traffic jams like other places in the world.
Mauritius is a developing country, that’s why pavements might not be everywhere and yes Mauritius GDP is among the highest in Africa Proud to be Mauritian 🇲🇺
Mauritius does not have the highest GDP in Africa, far from that. Mauritius is ranked 27th in terms of GDP in the african region and 130th worldwide... However, the *Mauritian GDP per capita* is the second best in Africa, behind seychelles.
MOMO-BOLTON-KENTON MAURITUIS ISLAND IS THE RICHEST COUNTRY IN AFRICA!!!!!mauritian people are riche by HEARTS... That was the very best one can get on Ebene with HD rendition The building currently under construction is set to become the tallest in the city topping at about 65m (20 storeys) The stuffs you bought were: Baozi, Tofu and a botched (margarine) panini. In Mauritius you get poor quality food at exorbitant prices... asking for a refund would be a waste of time. Even the McDonald's menu look miserable... feel bad you stepped out of the restaurant unsatiated Admittedly, there are better street foods in Rose Hill... but the best for working people is in Port Louis where everything from fruit slushies to parking is way cheaper At any rate, my favorite cities in Mauritius are Curepipe, Rose Hill and Quatre Bornes... hope you'll shoot one of those one day
I think Riki was a bit under the weather or something that day, just seems grouchy. I hate when I have a day like that, you can't pinpoint why but everything just gets to you. This was posted a bit over 11 mo ago, so saying I hope your night went better than your day is probably pointless but I do hope so
Teokon (dried -tofu in Chinese Hakka ) is type of extra-firm tofu used to be stuffed with a meat filling . As such in chinese hakka tofu is called Teofu , two different things.
You just need to look at the cars on the street to know that Mauritius is a well established country . Out of 10 cars on the street, I bet 5 of those are high end European car like BMW Audi , Mercedes. We did a lot of progress for a small country regardless of the shitty politicians
I don't like meat sweet other than BBQ, so I would say No as well. Tofu doesn't really have a flavor, it is easily flavored by seasoning. By it'sself it's more of just a texture. What I have learned from this video is, avoid Ebene it's overrated ;) Stick with Goodlands and Pierre!
Now head out to the dormant volcano to admire the views over the city, here: ruclips.net/video/ftM6a5VLbrw/видео.html
Many thanks for promoting the island. All people throughout the world are welcomed in Mauritius.👍👍

Finally, I now know Mauritius is part of Africa. I have watched out of order so after several videos I found one that answers the question.
That first thing you ate is stuffed tofu, usually stuffed with prawn & pork mince. They probably stuffed it with fish mince there for the general public. You can then steam and pan fry it. It's a very common local chinese dish.
