  • 'It's good to look back, but don't stare' somebody once said. Well, thanks to the camera we can stare as often as we want. This glimpse is one from the B.B.C ...artfrob

Thanks for sharing, I was lucky enough to see John in concert a couple of times a few years before his death after accidently stumbling across his music, Im so glad I did as he was spellbinding to watch and listen to. I still listen to him today.

I didn't know John Martyn until today.
I was born in 1964 and until today I hadn't heard of John Martyn but through this documentary I learned almost everything... but the "almost" is always missing for the magic of inquiry to play its part. This indagation of that "almost" that will never be discovered will be John Martyn's hallmark.
    Artfrob, thank you.

Wonderful music but the guy is like an extra from the Goon show. I enjoyed the stuff about him but nowadays in Ireland was painful.
A proper documentary and exploration of his music would have been preferable to me.
Didn't watch it all, cringe prevented it.
