This should be shown at every school, college, university going. I work on the railway and I'm personally sick to the back teeth of reports of trespass and kids playing chicken across lines. There's only one chance to find out how stupid it is, and that'll most likely be your last one.
maybe some adults should watch this unfortunately my dad was a driver for first great western and an idiot walking along the tracks after a night out on the booze wearing ear phones was hit by the train my dad was driving people dont think how it affects the train driver
Same can be said for the suicidal jumpers. Although it's sad they are in a bad place, they do not think about the drivers they are jumping in front of. My dads mates friend was in training for train operator on LU, his first day at the controls, second station in and someone jumped, he quit immediately. I work on LU and have friends who are train operators and fortunately, they haven't experienced it yet. I'm an engineer and also haven't yet but that and trespassers are common.
I work on the railway and have attended fatalities, its not nice, its horrific to see what damage can be done to a body, it effects everyone. Some drivers never drive again. Treat railways with respect, don't fool around on platforms. Even a slow moving train can't stop like a bus. Be safe folks
Keeping safe and sound around traffic a month ago a truck driver was on the fone I just jumped out off the way he mounted pavement I had a big high vis jacket on I jumped over a mini wall to avoid him
Stop saying your crying, most likely your not Edit: to make sure people don’t think I’m a asshole, I do think that this is a important topic and should be highlighted for how dangerous it is, I just don’t like it when people say that they are crying because you never know if they are or not
i wonder if you could do one with +networkrail to highlight the dangers of not standing behind the yellow line when a HST passes though at 125mph. it always annoys me when people stand so close to the platform edge at stations.
Dosnt matter what train it is a class 142 pacer or a hst 125 the end result will always be the same the simple awnser is dont mess around near or tresspass on the railway
Doug Paulley Jenny, the girl is a "ghost". Hence why no one reacts to her or gives attention. The scene where she gets hit by the train is a flashback from a year before. Everything else is on the anniversary of her death.
Jaysus, this what happens that you stand too close to the platform before the train arrives or passes by. I never stood too close to the platform and I always stay behind the yellow lines before the train arrives or passes by. I never played with the tracks or the trains either.
hmmmmm starting too see how clueless you really are !!! the reason is that the train was on a bi-directional line and that means a train on a bi-directional train can travel either way! Now Who is the clueless one!! and that train will blast threw that station if its not on its time table and depending on the max mph for that section of track!!
@@rabd9881 the speed limit is 60mph its also a heavy rail which means its used for freight as well as passengers as its connected to the main line! just as all the railways in the uk are.
People show no respect for the railworkers that love the railways, and then have the hard job of being the driver that hit someone, or having to recover a body. For goodness sake, have the decency to show an interest in getting to travel by train, it should be far safer than walking along a road.

The Network is already quite safe. Its how you behave around the railway and always take not of Safety messages. Yet there are still accidents really down to Public Stupidity!
The UK railway is very old and diverse, implementing the technology needed across all the operators and stations, etc. would be very expensive and difficult. Even if implemented on new stations.
@@user-jg8fg4qp3x money is expendable but a human life is not! I'm sure if the railways where not privately owned by different companies then a system like that of the one's in other countries would safe lives

As I said, the UK Rail network is old and diverse, with some stations that only see up to 1,000 passengers a year (for reference, Elephant & Castle- a very quiet station, sees 3 million passengers every year) It is not possible to install PEDs on all thousands of stations, there is no one-size-fits-all that works for all stations, trains and track. Weird, but the track isn't electrified in any way but a third rail Southern 377 passes and hits her. Effects much?
It's a class 171.
No it's a 377 dumbo.
Doesn't look like anything out of a turbostar family expect 172 from London Midland.
How about you put the video on speed '0.25' and look at it around 5:26. It doesn't have a gangway on the end, class 377s do have a gangway.

Looked is if it might've been Buxted, on the Southern Uckfield line.
Buxted
thats why u never stand at the edge of a platform
