This is her character, and her dance, nobody does it better...you can see how much she's grown since Hyde Park...and the outfit is very like the original, can't see why anyone is criticising it, or her appearance, here...just a beautiful and perfect performance in Lord of the Dance/Feet of Flames ❤ love it ❤
By far. I don’t like the changes. She is an amazing dancer, but the left arm and really all the new arm styling is distracting and looks almost “ditzy.” Hyde Park was the best in all facets.
I understand you…😢 There are too many smiles and hand movements, and the dance steps are overconfident, but it lacks the nobility and elegance of the original version in 1998
Actually, it IS her. There is another video on RUclips called ; Dance of Love. Bernadette Flynn Tribute and this clip is featured in the tribute. She did cut her hair and it was short for awhile, but that is her.
I heard that Irish folk dancing like this is difficult and requires physical fitness to a large degree and great stamina. It's best done in one's twenties. In your thirties as you age and your stamina naturally decreases you will struggle to do this. I heard Michael Flatley finally had to retire. No matter how much exercise he did, his body no longer had the natural stamina of its youth.
He retired at 57 because of his laundry list of injuries over a very long career in dance. Don't feel discouraged from trying just because you might think your time has passed. You can do it!
@@Solar-np2sf I remember watching his face at one of his later stage performances just before he retired. His face was pasty-white and strained with fatigue and exhaustion. You could tell he was pulling up everything he had left in himself to complete the performance and look classy doing it. He was no doubt in far better physical condition than you and I at the time but his body could no longer take the draining exertion. I give the man great credit for doing this as long as he possibly could.
what makes irish dancers look weird and clumsy looking is that they usually don1t use their arms. At last she breaks that idiotic habit, boy, she looks graceful!
Uuuuughhh!! Whose decision was it to destroy this beautiful choreography and her appearance. For some reason the hand in the air bothers me, the costume is horrible, she is beautiful and I always admired her, this is unfair😫😫😫😫 Hyde Park performance best performance 😑😑😑😑😑
I totally agree. Sometimes people think more is better but a lot of the times it really doesnt go like that. Her costume and dance was better at Hyde Park. This just looked kinda cheap and desperate in comparison

Bernadette has always been graceful and elegant but I agree about the revealing costumes. If you notice, from Feet of Flames Hyde Park,to Feet of Flames Budapest and Celtic Tiger, and some of the newer versions of Lord of the Dance, the women's clothing became more and more revealing and some of the actual dances became very suggestive and graphic. In Feet of Flames Budapest, during the segment known as 'stolen kiss', the woman playing the temptress dances very seductively and Michael literally rips her skirt off . In newer versions of Lord of the dance, it goes even farther with women in bras and thong underwear. I was so disgusted that I had to turn it off. I Iove Irish dance but the shows are less about the music and dancing and more about showcasing the dancers' sex appeal. I don't like that. I won't watch and I don't let young kids look at it either. The shows have departed too far from the original Riverdance and Lord of the dance concepts and that is not a compliment; they have lost their way.

their performance in the hyde park, london remains the best
Andrea agreed! Especially with this version of her dance

Goddess of Irish Dance!
Un immense bravo au groupe de Lord of the dance avec ces très belles chansons accompagnées de claquettes. Je ne me lasse jamais de les écouter.
Je ne me lasse jamais de les regarder!!la perfection
I love you lord of the dance sooooo much
I don’t understand how there’s 11 dislikes. Fantastic Irish dancer I could watch her all day
I am really wanting to know what this tune was called originally or was it written for the show?
It’s the title of the video.
Exactly. I give her dance four stars.
Because the 1998 version was better.

The tune is a traditional Irish air called "King of the Faeries".
Frumos !
That is my teacher Bernadette Flynn
You know that a skirt is too short when you don't really see the moves of a great dancers because of that skirt.......
That's not Bernadette Flynn. ..
I understand you…😢

This is the 2011 version. She was 32 at this time. In Feet Of Flames she was 19. @@jocelynharris-fx8ho

Why bother wearing a skirt? Seen more cloth on a band aid!
I still don’t understand why Bernadette has her arm up like that in this dance. Hyde Park is definitely better.

This version was less graceful than the original one.
Agreed to to max RK.

nice dance, terrible "costume" :/
What's wrong with her costume? Irish folk dance has a lot of leg movement. Her costume permits that.
