  • Hebrews 11:25-26
Choosing to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin, he regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.
    Acts 5:40-42
They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name. Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.
    2 Corinthians 12:10
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
    Acts 26:22-25
But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen- that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.”
At this point Festus interrupted Paul’s defense. “You are out of your mind, Paul!” he shouted. “Your great learning is driving you insane.”
“I am not insane, most excellent Festus,” Paul replied. “What I am saying is true and reasonable."
Have the courage to be disliked
And ye shall be hated of all me for my name's sake" - Luke 21:17
If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified. 1 Peter 4:14
Blessed are you, when me shall revile you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. - Matthew 5:11
Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. - 2 Timothy 3:12
    Following Jesus is not easy
People will hate you, slander, call you homophobic, judgemental, jezebels will attack & distract, flesh will annoy you, you will see sin everywhere in world, tv, movies, music, family & friends will mock you & turn against you, have righteous anger, loneliness.
But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. - 1 Corinthians 2:9
