I preordered one originally but got told they couldn’t fulfil my order so thought I wasn’t getting one then managed to get one for the same money from a kind guy in the Tamiya Legends Group..
No not yet my friend, this was the last video from the old house 🏡 I’ve got some filler videos for the next couple of weeks then hopefully it’ll be all new stuff 😅👊🏻
I wish I had ordered one but it is kind of best I didn't as I knew I wasn't going to build it so this one may be the one I didn't get!! You're welcome LOL!!! Looking forward to seeing what you end up doing with it!!
Nice Upgrades Glenn. The Kit is nice but I think it definitely lacks Carbon & nice shocks to make it that little bit special. I also built mine with the silver gear cases to improve the look of the chassis
So glad I bought the 35th anniversary decals and wing for the green Valliant, as it is going for ridiculous amounts of money these days. So that I can build a replica, all the parts gonna be the same but 😂.
I rather enjoy the look of the MST 501 wheels. They’re not always the nicest on everything (case in point: my Toyota HiLux Extra Cab “drift truck”) but on some cars, like my Top Force green Mazda3 drift wagon, it was REALLY nice! The adjustable offset makes them a popular choice with drifters although MST suggests you glue the wheels which defeats the purpose of adjustable offset wheels… Anyway, a helpful tip if you plan to run it and want the adjustability is to wrap the wheels in electrical tape and then reassemble the wheels onto the barrels. If done correctly, the wheels shouldn’t come flying off in a turn and you should still be able to adjust the wheels for the offset you want.
Hello again Glenn, I have been trying ask you a question in regards to kit 57784 Tamiya Porshe KTR could you please let me know the PS colour blue used on this kit plz
You will need to change the wheelbase as it’s 6mm to long. You can get 3D printed rear arms from Anthony Illingworth Unless the rcjaz carbon set takes that into account.
Have a fiddle when you have built it. But I have 3 and none of them would look right for me. The arms are only like 15£ so maybe reach out to him so you have the arms in case.
Nice score. Not a kit I was particularly interested in, and thankfully so considering the scalping that resulted after the release, I don’t get the attitudes of some people, or the effects they can have on the hobby.
Odd, my reply just vanished. Wonder if I had some strange word the mysterious youtube algo was looking for. Kinda hard to see how it gets yanked when I was just saying I look forward to seeing how it turns out. And that I find the vaillant livery a bit drab myself, and dont quite know what to do with my own, as the white or green liverys dont appeal to me at all.
Yeah YT can be strange sometimes 🤕 Totally get what you’re saying too, I’ve got the 911 GT car and I honestly can’t make my mind up what colour or livery to do? 🙊🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
@@TAMIYALegends I do prefer the black&gold GT car to the white one, but I dunno if the stickers are interchangeable with color swaps. Maybe you could do like a crossover, and use MCI PIAA or Taisan livery on it, could be cool, if you can get the stickers to match.
I searched and searched for one after I neglect to pre order one. Eventually got one but I’m so scared to built it now. Kinda ruins the excitement in a way.
MST are nice wheels but they look a bit big. As they are 1/10 and the body is more 1/12. Also it is not going to be a Tamiya legend if your going to fit 3rd party upgrades. The Tamiya Carbon chassis kit would keep it Tamiya. Fit the standard wheels and try for some slick tires would be my idea It is a great kit but Anniversary kits should be kept as released. Just my appinion.
Well lol 🤓 As it happens that video was made around 8 weeks ago and everything has changed! So yes I’m now building it 100% standard including box art 😅 Interesting information on the wheels 🤔. So are you saying that the MST wheels are a bigger diameter than the kit wheels?
Even if the wheelbase is wrong with the standard tamiya chassis? And I think you'll find that the original was 1 1/2th scale, this is 1 /10. Oh, and each to their own after all 👍👌
Mate, the MST’s aren’t in any way bigger than what Tamiya package. I have bought four sets of MST wheels (2 sets of TE’s, one LM, and a set of 501’s like Glenn has in this video) and they are some of the prettiest, most realistic looking scale wheels. FYI, just because it’s made by MST, did you know that MST sells some of their RTR’s with actual TAMIYA body sets?! Not really sacrilege then mate but that’s how I see it.
I was so lucky to get one of these thanks to my wife picking it up for me w/o me knowing. Can't wait to build it up.
Fantastic my friend 🤩👊🏻
I preordered one originally but got told they couldn’t fulfil my order so thought I wasn’t getting one then managed to get one for the same money from a kind guy in the Tamiya Legends Group..
Oh wow that’s awesome Lee, glad you managed to get it my friend 😅👊🏻
You lucky boy. I'm so keen to get a Porsche
Thanks for watching 😊👊🏻
G'day Glenn very nice 👍👍
Thanks buddy 😅👊🏻
Going to be another winner! I like the green you chose but also love the white. Glad I don't have that decision...he tells himself. lol
Thanks buddy 😅👊🏻
Can't wait for the build Glenn! Cheers from usa
Thanks Adam 😅👊🏻
One sweet looking kit! Nice thing indeed! You will enjoy this build Glenn from start to finish l bet on that! Cheers James 👍
Thanks James 😎👊🏻
back into already glen after the move !!👍👍
No not yet my friend, this was the last video from the old house 🏡
I’ve got some filler videos for the next couple of weeks then hopefully it’ll be all new stuff 😅👊🏻
Wow awesome kit.
Thank you 😊
Going to look epic. Now you can use that carbon on the 40th and use the new Tamiya carbon upgrade on the 45th. Happy building!
Can’t wait 🤩👊🏻
It sure is a nice kit. I think I'll build mine when I get bored of looking at the kit. I can understand leaving the 30th nib. That does look nice.
Haha I’m exactly the same, I love looking at the kits but there becomes a time when it needs to be built 😅👊🏻
Thanks for watching

Cooor, it's gonna Awesome!
Thanks buddy 😎👊🏻
Another great video Glenn 👍
Thank you 😊
That will look nice when done. Vary nice wheels.
Thanks Kash 😎👊🏻
That little alloy bracket should be the base for the front shock tower. It screws to the top of the front diff case and the tower bolts to that.
Excellent thanks Steven 😅👊🏻
i love how Tamiya packages their kits
Yeah it’s a bit special my friend 😎👊🏻
😁👍Nice!
Thanks buddy 😅👊🏻
have to check out those MST wheels, I'm most impressed with my MST MTX-1 so these might be something to buy 👍
Fantastic this is the first time I’ve had a set 😅👊🏻
Nice Upgrades Glenn. The Kit is nice but I think it definitely lacks Carbon & nice shocks to make it that little bit special. I also built mine with the silver gear cases to improve the look of the chassis
Thanks Adam 😅👊🏻
The alloy piece goes on the front carbon tower for a extra strength. 👍
Thanks Mark 😅👊🏻
Very nice, I do like those MST wheels 🙂
Yeah me too 😅👊🏻
Lovely kit when are we going to see you in the new place
I’m busy setting it up at the moment. Actually today’s video was the last one from that studio 😅👊🏻
You have to build the 30th. Keith already opened it.
Haha that was only the shrink wrap, I’d of taken that off myself lol 😂
But yeah it’ll definitely get built 😅👊🏻
I’ve got if not only one then one of few that was imported to my country :)
Fantastic 😎👊🏻
It'll be a special build for sure👍 I thought all the carbon extras you have came in the kit. The blue alloy part supports the front shock tower 🙂
Excellent thanks for that information Rob 😅👊🏻

What are you going to do with the original rims?
It’s all changed now Brad, the car will now be totally standard 😊👊🏻
I'd love to have one of these but I know I wouldn't be able to get one. If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all 🤣
Oh dear 🤕
But thank you for watching 👊🏻
Activasion,porshe,solar,super,electric,6x6.
Thanks for watching 👊🏻

Unless the rcjaz carbon set takes that into account.
Isn’t this only the case if your running them?
I thought that when the shell is at the correct height on the chassis it all lines up? 🤷🏼♂️
Have a fiddle when you have built it. But I have 3 and none of them would look right for me.
The arms are only like 15£ so maybe reach out to him so you have the arms in case.
Could someone please tell me what esc Glenn used when he used the super modified 11t in the lunch box great thanks 😂
I use a Tekin Pro my friend 😊👊🏻
@@TAMIYALegends cheers pal 👊
Why don't you install some of the
SRC upgrades? 58157 😉
Oh now that’s a lovely chassis Rob 😎👊🏻
Hi Glenn, I saw you have a carbon upgrade for this kit. Tamiya does make a carbon upgrade as well. However, it is very expensive. Thoughts?
Yeah I’ve actually got that Tamiya carbon set coming to me 😅👊🏻
@@TAMIYALegends When you get it maybe you could do a comparison between the two. Thoughts?

Totally agree 👊🏻
Surprised you have not done a midnight pumpkin video?
If you never build the 30th can you leave it to me in your will please. Thanks ☺️
Haha do you know something I don’t??? 🤣👊🏻
@@TAMIYALegends I do think someday in the future you should build the 30th
Cracking kit
Did you build this, Glen?
Please box art.
100% 😎

You must build the 30th! Otherwise, it’s just a box of parts. What’s the point of a box of parts? 🤷♂️
I get that point of view my friend but it’s nice to savour it for a while 😅👊🏻
I am so jealous of your impending 30th. I would definitely build it ! So that is why I won’t buy one.
Thanks Michael I’ll 100% build it in the future but I’ll have to get bored of looking at the box first! So could be awhile 🤣👊🏻
Why are Brits incapable of correctly pronouncing Porsche? It's painful! LoL 😂
It’s just one of life’s little mysteries 🤣👊🏻
