Alex Cox, Director | DePaul VAS

The Visiting Artists Series presents a discussion with Director Alex Cox, about his film Walker. Moderated by Professor Andy Stasiulis.
Born in England in 1954, ALEX studied film at Bristol University before journeying to America and continuing his education at UCLA. Alex has written and directed several feature films including REPO MAN, SID AND NANCY, STRAIGHT TO HELL, and THREE BUSINESSMEN.
In addition, ALEX was a presenter on the long-running series MOVIEDROME for the BBC. ALEX is also
the author of several books such as 10,000 Ways to Die: A Director’s Take on the Spaghetti Western and a career memoir entitled X Films: True Confessions of a Radical Filmmaker.
Currently, ALEX writes a monthly column for Film Comment magazine and is about to begin production on TOMBSTONE RASHOMON, an episodic feature exploring the events surrounding the gunfight at the O.K. Corral.
