After spending more time with MOOD MKII on an instrument I’m familiar playing MOOD through, it’s very clear I’ve hardly scratched the surface of what this new version is capable of. 🔮 At the time of recording I just wanted to unwind and have fun. As I’m sure you can tell, that was easily achieved. ✅ I very much so look forward to showing what else I’ve discovered! 🥳
They really do inspire music in the coolest way! These looping/delay devices (MOOD, Habit, blooper) contain a great balance between controlable precision and unpredictable novelty. 🎉
@@patinthechat6452 This whole video was in mono. Once I tried stereo with my guitar, it was a game changer! I didn’t expect the stereo width/ movement to be so cool on this thing! Happy to hear you’re enjoying it, Pat!
I love it when my music is compared to other artists I haven’t heard of before. It’s always interesting to see the connections others draw, and I’m always down to check out new music. Thanks for the insight, Dave! ✌️🎹
@@TriangleWaveRecords nice! blooper is in the top of my all-time favorite pedals. Not sure how you like to use blooper, but I hink you’ll love MOOD MKII. Those two pedals are a fantastic pair. 💙💜
Really enjoyed this and haha potatoes!!! It was sweet to hear your family involved in this. What organ is that? Have you thought with the time lengths how you will feed the MKI mood into the longer sample time length of MKII? Your humor is gold here haha
It’s a Conn organ. I bought it for $50 at a thrift store! It’s fully functional, though (I’m assuming because it’s older components) a bit more susceptible to electronic interference. Adding the FX loop has been real fun to experiment with!
I haven’t thought too much in specific about how to utilize the two differences in time when using both MOODS… When using MOOD, I typically let it do what it wants and improvise off that as that seems to be where it’s strength lies. Do you have any ideas of good uses between both?
@@stephenbeyer I don’t have either! I played the MKII at the pop up but the original mood I rented when I first started playing with effects pedals a long time ago it scared me haha it was too advanced for me at the time! I have more complicated pedals now but I do want to try MOOD again now as a “redemption arc” in my journey haha! That’s neat on the effects loop in the organ and that you got it for $50?! Holy shit that’s amazing! I cannot find stuff like that in miami but it’s good to see you have given it a new home and life again. I love that
@@PedalPlayhouse oh you’re right, I remember you telling me that, my bad! I didn’t quite “get” MOOD at first. Then it grew on me once I became more familiar with how it tends to work. I’m pretty confident you’d get into it too with further exposure. Especially after your experience with effects since then! 🎛️
@@PedalPlayhouse I was stoked to find it. I could see on the stickers that it was originally posted for $300, then $200 or $150. I grabbed it at the right time! Paying the guy to try and get the buzz out/ modd the FX loop in (technically it’s an “insert jack” but they’re effectively the same) costed more than the organ itself! Haha

Hey do u notice your mkii getting a little warm when u use it
I feel like I have noticed that once or twice. If you’re using the correct power supply (9V with at least 270mA) you should be good.
@@stephenbeyer I am

@@jasonmcgary cool. Let me what they say!
Does this happen the majority of times you use it? Do you keep it plugged in days at a time?
