Thanks for the review Luke, we are working on improving the install experience while still retaining the flexibility for choosing multiple desktops

Great video! And the desktop environment looks super great!!! I even wanted to transplant it to the rpi os lite ;) !!! That would be awesome and it really is the best (both good-looking and amazing performance)desktop I’ve seen!!! ;-) pls make more videos like this and let us know more phenomenal OSs like this!!!

This seems like a fast, good-looking OS. I may give it a try.
What's holding me back from a serious attempt to use a Pi4 as a daily driver is the awful performance with 1080p streaming video. I watch a lot of video and every time I try out a new fast OS, this aspect always disappoints.
I understand it has something to do with closed source drivers? The Pi's been out so long, I don't understand why this hasn't been fixed. A crowdfunding project could either fund the development of an open source driver, pay the chip set manufacturer to develop a good driver, or switch to a different video chip with better (open source) drivers.
The fact that (apparently) nothing has been done to solve this for years makes me think Raspberry isn't interested in selling the Pi as a light desktop computer. That's OK, I wish they'd just come out and say it, so I don't get my hopes up every time a fast OS comes along.....

If all you want is a web browser, FydeOS(ChromiumOS) performs the best in terms of web browsers.
However, if you want a web browser on another OS, I would recommend trying out the Puffin Browser in Raspberry Pi OS. It runs extremely smooth on it!

@@Lukes-Tech thanks for your reply!!! :D uhmmmmmm let’s start with fydeos, I’ve been having a countless times crashing and stucking on it(I’m sure that I installed it properly cuz i, well it could be the lack of ram for my rpi4 2gig version even though according to the official documents that 2GB of ram is still above the minimum requirements and on the other hand, I’ve never been having a RAM lacking problem yet, even though when I’m using super heavy desktops like gnome or KDE and it could be some other things that caused them instead of RAM when I’m having a lagging or crashing issue according to my experiences ;) , so fydeos may not be a good choice for me then :(

@@Lukes-Tech oh and puffin is truly a good choice but hmmmm there’s some embarrassing issue I’ve got here cuz it looks like I can’t connect to puffin server from my region and in view of that puffin for rpi is fast because of its using the cloud learning boost so it might be being needed to being connected to the puffin server when using it so :( is there any best solutions except these ones pls🥹? Many thanks to your replies again! :DDDDDD
