- An amazing unreleased song by Dance Gavin Dance. This song was apparently retired and never recorded, so here it is. All rights belong to DGD, and picture credit goes to Mattias Inks.
Reminds me when I saw Johnny and Tilian during the solo shows. One of the last times I hung out with my best friend before he passed. He introduced me to DGD and hearing this brings me right back to that show. Thanks Austin.
I'm so sorry to hear that bro. 😔 I'm glad I could remind you of a fond memory of him. I lost my uncle who was one of the only ones who liked DGD alongside me as a younger man so I can truly relate. I hope the old stuff brings you peace and fond memories of him, even though it will always bring some sadness
It just sounds like a start of an amazing adventure that you can tell that’s gonna be full of emotions
Early DGD reminds me so much of the scene then, this and Attack of the Dashing , Young and Bold are great songs
Attack of the dashing young and bold is my favorite song by them, still to this day
WHERE THE FUCK DID THIS STYLE GO???? I mean hell, I love DGD as it is and I always have the day since I found it, but holy shit this is heaven to my ears!
Tidal Waves, Breakfast, Lunch, And Dinner ?
It sounds like This Providence lol
LYRICS:
And you win
Now that we've burned through our life
And I gave way
To finding you alone
We scanned through our plans
Remember his sweet little lies
I fear for you
Wait here
(x2)
And hated my every plan you thought
To make this night special
Do what you want
Were you ever
Were you ever lost
Don't kid yourself
I'm not worth fighting
(Fight over all wrong)
Now baby smile
(Say what you want it's already)
Drive in rain right though the night
(Over we want what's right)
This night ends with this line
(Probably only when)
(Probably maybe soon)
Know all the things you've taken
You're scared of the pain
I think is crying not fighting
Ps. On the live video, the screamer replied saying that there were actually no lyrics, hes jusy saying "wah" like nuts.
(They also preformed importance of cocaine)
i actually think this IS importance of cocaine, just a portion, that again, they retired/ decided not to record
These lyrics are pretty spot on to how it sounds and I appreciate it
This is probably one of my favourite songs despite not having been released, just because how raw it sounds.
I read in their most recent AMA that the instumentals are fully recorded, and was a B-side from DBM2, but currently there's no plans to finish it or release it, sadly.
Thanks for uploading this.
Alex Pantoja They seriously need to release this.
***** I'd pay money for them to release it.
Alex Pantoja Same, honestly.
whats a b-side???
***** thanks
This will forever be my forever dgd song
Word
Eric Lodge was always so powerful on Bass. Highly suggest you watch the farewell unknown live videos.
God this makes me wants to cry
thenumbersixlookslikeyou same dude
Can’t believe this gem released 16 years ago
This song stands the test of time very well
This is really cool. Now all I want is them to record this song and maybe put it on as an extra.
THEY HAVE COME A LONG WAY
Qurida Pearson oh hey nice to see you here!
RIP Tim Feerick ;-(
tim wasan't in the band back then
man I want this song so bad
RUclips to mp3 downloaders are amazing lol
You can even make Playlists or search Playlists and download them as zip files.
This is life.
I know it's obvious, but that's not Jon Mess doing the screaming towards the end.
Probably will
@@DailyScratcher I think it might be Andrew Winters. He filled in for Jon on some of their first live shows and this is obviously live so.
@@marekbroderick8524 yeah in the footage by theswanguy for their first shows, lol wasn't bad at all!
@@dzitsy yeah it sounded different. Even though he didn’t actually scream any words. But that’s also how johnny wrote his songs so it clearly works lol
It has a math rock sound to it
isn't that most DGD?
nope DGD is swancore,dude
DGD is basically a progressive band, post hardcore is the base but they have a lot of things
they are progressive rock to people who don't listen to progressive rock much at all
Yeah, math rock is more like Q and Not U, Hella, Chon, or Tricot. Swancore, which is what DGD is, are bands like Sianvar, Hail the Sun, Secret Band, etc
I LOVE THS
same. 0:57 is amazing
Awesome song, where did you find this?
I don't remember how I found this but it was my first experience with there music and I've been hooked ever since
Why was this retired??? This is really amazing if you ask me, I would love a studio version and even have Jonny sing it instead of Tillian. Anyway this is fucking fire. Could anyone tag rise records or will swan if he has a RUclips account anyone knows about.
Sam Desai this isn't a b side from DBM II. It's just an old unreleased track. This was before their EP even dropped
They are remaking literally EVERYTHING from their discogs rn, so i wouldnt be duprised if they did an isntrumental of this bad boy in a few months
@@keithdube12 i think its before even the demo dropped
Goddam this is a good track, I'd like to think the one dislike was accidental xD
This is straight up emo
yeah it sounds like braid, the get up kids, and early jimmy eat world
Of course this song is one of my favorites and you literally can’t find it anywhere else or a quality recording if it either
FUCKING JONNY I LOVE YOU AND OLD DGD SOOOO MUCH FUUUCKINN AJSAFSA BWHJRAFKSFAS YOUR SONG TITLES STILL ENTERTAIN ME TO THIS DAY
Something about this is so nostalgic
Farewell Unknown.
band of god
Beginning riff feels like it would fit perfectly on Downward is Heavenward.
Amazing
Omg what if they include this in the last album they make in the future
I miss the old dgd days so much with Jonny Craig and John Mess
I think that's drew winter screaming at the end
Marco Huerta
Tanner Womack 2?
Holy fuck it makes my chest hurt :')
Amazing DGD
Very hum esque
jonny

Snipping tool it :) or look up Mattias Adolfson
:’)
I find it interesting that they had the robot theme from the very beginning in their album cover art, the robot even looks exactly the same as all the robots on their recent albums
They need to re-record this with tilian and JON
No...no no
Kale Baelfire explain
AwhhhhAdam the idea of the new singer redoing songs w the old singer always bothered me..like tillian remaking tracks from the Kurt era.
or escape the Fate when Craig performs songs made w ronny. it just...feels weird 🤣
Kale Baelfire which to an extent I get BUT remember this don’t barely saw the light of day and was never recorded
AwhhhhAdam i guess but..idk it would still feel off man lmao
I love this. Bring back Jonny man
They sound bring back Jonny because his voice is like no other, Tilian is awesome too but Jonny has a smooth melodic voice, that only he possesses an Tilian can't do, Jonny can captor the crowd anyday, I think Tilian would have ppl questioning what they're listening to
Tillian sounds like any other generic pop punk boy....makes the whole band just blend in with all the rest of them.
Papa's Tummy Fuzz seriously I could never understand why anyone would ever choose him over Jonny. His voice is just too high and whiny for me. Jonny Craig was something else
keithdube12 People seem to love Tilian. I've honestly grown fond of his voice. Especially in the recent release. I will always love Jonny though.
keithdube12 Jonny is a piece of shit, no thanks
someone made a remake of the instrumental on soundcloud for anyone who's interested
soundcloud.app.goo.gl/qLHj
Where'd it go?!
