I've always loved this song.. y'alls harmonies are magic!!
What a groove! Whew. Man these guys are good.
It just dont get much better than this gentlemen! Well done!
My 5 year old is obsessed with this song, got a plan for how to get into that cave and everything. She also requests Chance and JP by name.
My 6 year old is still obsessed with this song. If I ask her who her favorite fiddlers are she doesn't waste a breath saying, "Chance McCoy, Tommy Jarrell, and the girl from the Petersons". If I ask her who her favorite banjo player is she says, "You.. and JP Harris, also Tommy Jarrell. And I guess the girl from the Petersons too but she doesn't play clawhammer so she's just okay."
This kills y’all.
Two of the most brilliant minds in Americana (country, old time) music of the 21st century! I’ve been lucky enough to see JP with the tough choices honky tonk band atleast 6 times, saw Chance with OCMS a time or two, and saw JP and Chance doing the old time act they have a few times also. I have been blessed enough I’ve seen them all in my home county except for the old crow shows, I had to travel a whole hour LOL. Keep on keep’n on fellas! We need to remember our American heritage more than ever!!!
Too much beauty here.
Absolutely amazing!!
My favorite version of this song. I would love a short lesson on this specific way of playing the banjo. Trying to play it the same way - have to hear it a million times i guess ;-)
Absolutely beautiful.
Gorgeous
Great performance, keep posting!
What fiddle tuning is Chance playing in? It's great.
This video will be included in Dave's Basement Tracks #101 Edition review of JP Harris album.
That is supposed to be a 40 dollar bill...just saying
it is odd to hear a goofy song played and filmed so drammatically
it just might be a heavier song than you think.
