Krichel’s Quarantiano Diary in Hong Kong | Day 12 | Talk and Piano Performance

Despite the current situation and all complications that come with it, Hong Kong Sinfonietta and I have agreed to further proceed with our plans to make the performance on 26 September 2020 happen.
The initial idea was to play Sergej Rachmaninov‘s Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini which we are still planning to do.
After travelling to Hong Kong from Germany, where I had just performed a solo recital at Beethoven-Haus Bonn (at the master’s birthplace), I was tested for Covid at the airport.
There, I had to wait for over nine hours for the results to then be brought to my hotel for the completion of my quarantine.
I was locked into my hotel room and I’m not allowed to set foot outside of the room for 14 days. During this period, I will go live on Instagram and Facebook and post one video daily, telling you above my current state, my relationship with Quarantiano and we are also going to play one piece for you every day.

Aber nun ist die Gefangenschaft
ja bald zu Ende.
Auf jeden Fall war für mich dieser Scarbo wieder ein
