We caught up with our guy Sekou Doumbouya at The ONE in Paris to see what he's been up to in the off season!
The Pistons 2019 NBA draft pick is looking stronger than ever, and he was working on ALL parts of his offensive game. Threes, pull-ups, finishing, and everything else you need to be a star in the NBA. Sekou is gonna be TOUGH this season!
Christopher Dauby, Matthew Strazel, Kalifa Sakho, Yaphet Moundi and Arthur Bouba. were also in the workout. Arthur and Sekou were going hard at each other toward the end of the workout, so make sure to watch that part!

His handle does need work, but usually after a rip move you want that ball out in front of you like that. Not a big deal there.

Ya his ball handling is without a doubt clearly his biggest weakness. Coaches say so as well. If he can improve here he will be deadly. That and a a solid post game on smaller defenders he goin be a problem 😤

What will be even more special is when we have highlights of him learning the game of basketball. This is all good until its 5 min to go in the 3rd quarter against stiff competition. What are your decisions to sustain, build upon or protect a lead into the 4th. He will be special, but let's pray his youth excels mentally. His physical is already there, but so are a ton of other cats in the league.

Still can't go left. Each time he does when he's fatigued he resorts to the short eurostep, which is dangerous because people know how to take charges from it in the NBA. The spin move can get shut down easily too, and he uses it way too much. Just ask Siakam. I dunno, he looks good but not getting my hopes up for a breakout season or anything over seeing this. His shot was what impressed me the most, looks really good. French connection between him and Killian will be fun to watch.
