This is so beautifully made. The dialogues throughout were so beautiful and extremely intimate, especially when HJ said "you took me to this cabin for weeks, fucked me the way you wanted and didn't even give me your real name." Really brought tears to my eyes. Well made film with beautiful characters, strong dialogues and an extraordinary storyline. And lastly, thank you for the happy ending. Need more such films ❤
I believe that if two hearts are really meant for each other; somehow, somewhere, and sometimes, no matter what they will be together.

Did this ring true. I entered a nine year relationship - two closeted men…..and finally he had the courage the “come out” and I didn’t. He found the love of his life and I have never seen him again and that is almost 17 years ago. But my heart still holds the memories of being loved so deeply by him and and I know it will never happen again…but I hold the memory.
Love and forgiveness, are wonderful to see played out in this film.

Aww! I love this! The kind of film I like that has it all - wine, dine, drama, heartbreak and a happy resolution in the end. Need more films like this! Kudos to the great production team, the actors and the Juan for collaborating on a well made film! What a nice way to start the morning here on Guam.

OMG!!!! This is soooooooooo beautifully made. We need more gay short films like this! I can fully relate with Hunter. I fell in love with a man who never shared to me his real name and up until now I fondly remember him since he disappeared from the face of the earth. I was crying so much at 19:39. Ryan Kirby & Douglas Jung have such amazing onscreen chemistry. I know this is just a short film.... But I would love to see more on the next chapter of Gregory Parker and Hunter Jones's love story, if possible. Thank you for this wonderful masterpiece, Juan Sebastian Valencia! I thought this movie was really beautifully-done. I personally know a young, gay Muslim man who is living a life in an arranged marriage, a wife and family, and I cannot help but feel that he will experience this kind of longing and regret somewhere down the road in his life. It’s a beautiful reminder that there is always hope, and you can eventually make up for things and finally live your truth!
Basically, this is just my life in a nutshell without the happy ending. The love of my life is on the other side of the globe, not knowing my name. Tragic, also because our love was one-sided; even though he had some kind of feelings for me, I lost my heart to him. For years, I've been trapped in a cold relationship and can't manage to break free. I miss him and think about him every day, for almost 5 years now 😓. I am so unhappy, but I look forward to continuing with the short film soon.
I am so sorry to hear this recap of your love life. But, let me tell you this, sometimes when we are trapped like this, all it needs, just as Gregory said, you need a proper closure. Do it the best possible way you can so you can move on with your life. I know we do not control our feelings, but you need to let go of the old memories. The love of your life may have already forgotten that you exist but all you need to do is remind him, tell him what he meant to you and say your farewell. Your partner in your current relationship may be suffering because of this. We can still love again even after the greatest heartbreak.

I love this feel good story, gay stories often are dramatic and tragic. Good job. second opportunities are real when the heart of both is calling it. in my own story i gave a second chance and i got married and so much in love with my husband almost 25 years of love.

Ughhh SOOO beautiful! I recently saw a post about a veteran called Edward Thomas Ryan who came out of the closet on his obituary and couldn’t stop thinking how this film reflects on how much we’ve come forward on this topic. Better to have second chances alive than never
I read about him too. So sad. We need to change that for our history! Only happy ending for all of us.

Very nice story, i love the ending so much. I've ended a 33 year gay relationship and realized that there is no forever in this kind of affair. The only consolation is we are very good friends now, no more fights, unlike when we were still lovers.
I admire those whose relationship is long and lasting. Nurture your affair and stay as lovers forever.
Btw, the break up happened in 2019 and I remained single until now, not wanting to be involved again. Happy being single for 5 years with no casual sexual encounter. I just don't feel the urge.

This has to be the best short film I have ever seen!! I usually watch them and feel frustrated with them because the content isn't good. I guess it probably is because I can relate to Gregory Parker's role.

It's an amazing and touchable story. It caught me from the first second to the end. No boring, just focus and think in the morals. I already asked myself many questions while watching that wonderful short film. The guy with brown hair is such a good actor. Very Sensitive I believed with him .
There is a very good balance between the music, and when you make the montage, you always choose the right time to put the emotional music in the right scene.
I like the ending and the way you mentioned that they never forget each other using the bracelet.
Waiting for a long movie, because the short one is not enough.

great story great acting. Wonderful production value all around. Beautiful cinematography. I could see this as a full length movie or even limited series by exploring their back story that got them to this place in time of the short. Noy to say that this short definitely holds it own. Because sometimes it's all u have left, the beautiful memories of something so captivating, a feeling of magic because just remembering send shivers down ur spine of the first kiss, the look that he gave u when he knew u felt the same it's the spark when u felt him holding u in his arms and u holding him in urs, the way he whispered in ur ear... "I never felt like this w anyone before and I think I'm falling for u"... That moment when u realize the guy of ur dreams is right next to u... The guy u always dreamed of whose sweet, romantic, charismatic, caring, loyal and sexy AF just told u he really likes u and is the best sex u ever had... Yeah being trapped in those memories hurt deep because having ur heart ripped into a million pieces hurts more than any physical pain u ever felt before 😢😢😢 and for months u go back and forth thinking why... Why did it end? Some things aren't to be, simple as that and u just have to let it all go, specially the pain... A broken heart heals slowly and each time it's broken and put back together it grows stronger and trusts less and less each time... But just because it got broken a few times doesn't mean it gives up on love ❤
So true for me. But unlike Gregory, my soulmate of 12 years passed away. I doubt i'll ever totally move on - loved him so much.

Me pareció muy buena historia. Solo que no todas tienen estos grandiosos finales. La realidad a veces es más cruel de lo que la imaginación de cualquiera de nosotros pudiera imaginarse, ya que aún cuando se encuentre el amor verdadero es dificil dejar atrás el mundo que hemos creado con terceros( esposa, hijos y demás familiares). Se requiere mucho valor y auto aceptación.

I really enjoyed this short. I really felt the pain both characters lived. And I love a happy ending (sorry for the spoiler). I've watched this 3 or 4 times and found it to be quite satisfying.
One thing wasn't very clear to me, what was it that Gregory did to end the first relationship? Did he just disappear or something else. At the beginning Hunter mentions Gregory rebuilding the cabin from scratch. Did he burn it down? Or just leave?
He was married to a woman. He went by a different name. So he found out he was living 2 lives. So he moved to France to escape his pain.
@@1533ramsay Thank you. I understood the two lives, it wasn't clear (at least to me) how Gregory ended the relationship the first time. The line about rebuilding from scratch is what threw me. Anyway, thanks again.
