Jalouise is a tango written by Danish composer Jacob Gade in 1925. Its full title is Jalousie 'Tango Tzigane' (Jealousy 'Gypsy Tango' ). It soon became popular around the world and is today a classic in the modern songbook.
The work consists of two themes - the first “a temperamental theme in D minor”, followed by a “lyrical section in D major”, both with a typical tango rhythm. Although it became Gade’s most popular and successful work, he wrote successor tangos, such as the 'Romanesca, Tango' in 1933.
Patience Strong (writing under the name Vera Bloom) later provided English lyrics, the song being re-titled in the vocal version with simple English translation “Jealousy”. It too proved popular.

The way you played that shows your masterful skill. Your interpretation and the precise timing of that piece is out of this world. Beautiful.

Great interpretation of a musical masterpiece, which I can listen to repeatedly, as I am doing right now.
However, let's be clear on this, the fact that it has the word "tango" in its title does not make it a tango.
Nobody born in a country bordering the River Plate would call this piece a "tango" and I am one of them.
Let's enjoy the music, then.
