Birding at Ria Formosa, Portugal

We went to Portugal for the weekend , got about 4 hours of free time, so got a taxi to Ria Formosa, about 5kl for Faro, I seen at least 30 species of Birds, I would highly recommend for Birders, probably not the best composition for photos, but a truly amazing place, hope ye enjoy the video ,

portugal is great for birding I go a fair bit the ludo trails are brilliant for birds of prey and other birds brilliant video too

I really enjoyed it and will definitely return. unfortunately, I only had a few hours but will do again with longer days

Great video Ken, the Kestrel is probably a Lesser Kestrel, I’ve seen them quite often in Spain and Canary Islands, I think I also spotted a Jack Snipe in the video too

@derekflynnsnr thanks Derek. I didn't post half what I saw if been honest and hard to get good places to take photos threw the rushes and distance. If tide was in, it would make a big difference too maybe. I am learning, I hope 🙏 lol
