Fun fact: we didn’t use to have a Dia de Muertos parade, so they made it up for this film, and now we have a yearly Dia de Muertos parade in Mexico City. Thanks Bond!
I love how at the beginning on the rooftops he's walking near normally, smooth and elegant like he's simply walking down a street, going up and down some stairs, leading a normal life. Not as if he's about to go collapse some buildings and nearly get crushed by cement. Just goes to show how normal this all really is for Bond, making him even more of a badass lol. I mean that W A L K is just so good, like damn. Spectre wasn't my favorite of the Craig movies (that honor belongs to Skyfall and only Skyfall) but this is definitely my favorite opening scene of all the Craig movies.
I believe this film was directed by the same guy who did 1917. I think he is a bit hit or miss at points but when he gets a scene right, boy he gets a scene right.
It wasn’t done in one take at all. There are several takes, but it is very cleverly cut together with digital trickery that makes it appear to be one take.
This encapsulates all the 007 elements: sex, swagger, wit, stealth, immaculate tailoring, the Monty Norman theme, world travel, firepower and world domination, and it's only the first scene in the film and only about 10 words are spoken 👌
Skyfall was the most boring film I've ever watched. Luckily I managed to resell the DVD on Amazon soon after so I got my money back. Craig is the dullest Bond ever. He's even worse than Roger Moore.
So, Do Mexicans usually keep their parade going after huge explosion, buildings collapsing, and unauthorized helicopter hovering few meters above the crowds?
Spectre and skyfall are the best 007 movies in my opinion. Really love them - just done really well. Casino royale is exceptional also. I’ll miss Daniel as Bond.
@@smokeylee1986 the Black and White sequence in the beginning of Casino Royale was way better and one of the best intros of the Bond universe besides Goldfinger imo...
@@renejrgensen5787 THIS. It's one of the best openings to an action movie ever. Legendary, mythical, mystical, ingenious, brought a fine line between the violent and delicate sides of Bond, both lethal.
I love the fact that an explosion and a building collapsing less than a block away from a parade wasn't enough to get anyone running in a panic. Or a helicopter landing in the middle of a crowd.
Anyone also notice the slight flutter in the music when the chopper flips over? An homage to the infamous slide-whistle in the car flip scene of Golden Gun?
Gunshots, explosions, building collapses, 2 men are fighting on the ground, the helicopter is going full circles just above a crowd of thousands Either the entire police force has called in sick or they don't get paid enough to do something about it
lets not forget, although we see Bond as the good guy, hes still a ruthless killing machine who probably doesn't care too much for the life of a grunt or two, hes there to get to the job done, simple as that
@Imran Becks The pilot only got involved after being attack my Bond, other than that he was flying normally while bond was fighting the other guy did you not see that? the helicopter would have also crashed much earlier had he killed him when they were flying low and didn't have the altitude, it was a very stupid move on Bond's part, he could have easily just threaten him to fly in the direction he wanted after beating the other guy.
I'm mexican and We have never had a parade like this in México city before this movie came out.... This kind of parades are held on little towns in México, but not in the city...
I live in Mexico and can confirm that Hollywood “Mexico filter” is real. Our rainbows are brown and yellow and I’ve never seen the color blue and green /s
It would have been funny if Bond pulled the guy outta the chopper along with himself and then Bond landed on the sofa again and the guy just splats on the floor next to him :P
The big flaw / missed opportunity is that she should've landed and casually dropped down to the balcony and walked back into the hotel with the girl. That would be the perfect typical Bond thing to do. (this clip doesn't show the beginning where he's in a hotel room)
The fact that we love Daniel Craig is his actions first rather than mind compare to others , weakness is that he is less handsome in bond series compare to others
