Yes. I was really waiting for Pt. Anindo Chatterjee and his cute Bengali accent while speaking Hindi. Another cute and down to earth personality is Pt. Venkatesh Kumar. Looking forward to it. :)
I can answer that Guruji. 3 is a magical number because When u say 1 and 2 there is a single gap between them which can be of any length but when three comes in it gives an idea about two gaps (1-2 and 2-3) amd making those gaps same gives idea about rhythm. Again if u start a race it start with 1 2 3... Because if the race started on the third beat after the 1, 2 u will have only one gap(1-2) to learn and apply it between next gap (2-1) If u use three... U get 2 gaps 1.one the data (1-2) of gap. 2. The confirmation of the gap (2-3) telling you that to use same gap u can rely on it.
I'm extremely grateful to you Pandit Arvind Parikhji for organizing these baithaks. The jewels of wisdom that each artist has to offer, discovered through countless hours of devoted riyaaz, will live on, in cyberspace, for eternity and for millions to benefit from. Generations of music lovers, currently alive and yet to come, will remain indebted to you for enriching our lives with such precious knowledge.
Thank you Panditji for doing those Baithak sessions; this will for sure be part of "immortal" series of our Hindustani Classical heritage, and you are serving and living by your guru and ustad,$ values, aftaab-e-sitar, ustad Vilayat Khan saheb... what else any shagird could do more in his lifetime?

Regarding question of 3, i.e. why 3. We feel it is an age old thing mastered through vedic mantras.. 3 is the right pace at which human mind can come to rest. Any less will be too abrupt for human mind, any more and the feel/mood would be compromised.
