- Let's kick around what owning a hero car is like over a spirited drive. Realistic dreams cars was a theme I believed in as a young adult. The Nissan 300ZX, RX7, Toyota Supra and the BMW M3 were the cars I considered as a teenager. I love well rounded cars that have heritage to them. The M3 checks all the boxes. Great looks, build quality, handing, fast and special.
I cover in this video specifically about the F80 M3 the chassis, wide-body, the color YAS Marina Blue. The S55 engine and more.

What you said about the f80 being the last “true” m3 has been said about every new generation of the m3. They’ve gotten bigger and bigger with every iteration. I agree with a lot of your points, this is a fantastic car and I’ll probably never sell my manual f80 👍
Thanks, I appreciate your feedback!
Sheesh manual F80 is rare KEEP IT 🦄
Best car hands down
My hero is r35 GT-R . sold my m4 f8x a year ago i miss it just a little. but m3 be perfect because 4 door and i need room Sometimes do to kid. I had about 25 cars since early 2000 :) same as far muscle cars. had only Pontiac firebird and 96 mustang Cobra. my wifey owns SQ 5 Audi for the kid and our dogs :) practicality is everything.
The R35 is sick performance wise, the heritage is there and yes it’s a looker. Can’t go wrong with it.
Congrats on living your dream, bro.
The M3 has been my Hero car since NFS: Most Wanted. I adored the e46. However, I really like sedans. The e90 was literally God answering my prayers. Then the f80 M3 was introduced... I've been in love ever since. It's gorgeous, and it's way faster than my MS6 was. I may buy other cars, but I will never sell this one.
Thanks bro! I really appreciate your comment. It’s such a great feeling when you have a keeper.
@@AttheApex Absolutely, bro.
Enjoy your ride. Couldn't agree more with everything you said.
🙏
I appreciate the sincerity in your assessment of this masterpiece of a car. I remember the first time I rode in a E36 M3 (back in ‘95) and knew I wanted to own my hero some day.
That’s awesome!!
such an underrated video.
Excellent video. Loved every minute of it. Watched the whole thing. Congrats. I’m looking at a 2017 F80 comp pkg this week 🙏🏼
Thank you so much! Comments like yours are so helpful. Good luck with your search.
been saving money for a new car and thinking about the m3. saw this video and i’m pretty much sold. hopefully i’ll grab one in the near future!
Too kind! You won’t regret it. Good luck with your search.
Nice video…and couldn’t agree more about owning your hero car. Similar to you have owned my z32 for the past 23 yrs and love that car. It’s just weekend car for now as my daily driver is also a 2018 f80 👍
Whoa! Such a similar history. I miss the Z but glad it’s not in my garage anymore. I am hoping to track my F80 next year. Have you tracked yours?
Great video! Big inspiration to do well to get to drive these cars.
I enjoyed your video very much! I am considering getting a 2018 M3 competition like yours. Has it been reliable for you so far?
Yes, they are well built.
F30 Great video
Thanks!
F80 is the last real M3! The G80
Is fast but soulless doesn't t have M rasp and just feels soft ...
very soft... I drove my friends g87 it doesn't have anywhere near the same raw feel of the f8x
I'm considering selling my F30 330D and buying one of these. How much is it as a daily? Does the noise ever get annoying on longer journeys?
Really want to pull the trigger on my M4 but they are very overpriced right now :0
What’s the range you are seeing?
@@AttheApex I’m looking at 2015-2016s right now and I’m seeing anywhere between $39k-$45k for 50-75k miles. I’m not actually sure if that’s overpriced by much but the used car market is wild right now.
@@TaylorMadeMoment it’s similar to what I was seeing about 18 months ago. I guess it went up but not a lot for medium to higher mileage older ones.
Never regret since i bought it last year. Except not being able to drive hard before i do crank hub job because i am very conservative person.
If you are modified, that’s probably a real concern. I’ve got an extended warranty and no mods. It’s not really a problem especially if you are manual or have a later model car is what I’ve read.
