Absolutely. I will watch the interviews to give them the clicks, but it is painfully awkward. Most interviewers don't even know how to handle smaller groups with native English speakers...
I used to feel sorry for them but now given their worldwide success and fame I feel like they have to do it to step out of their comfort zone. Of course they can speak Korean if they want to and if they're comfortable, but they themselves were the ones who wanted to speak English to better connect with their international fans. And I fully support that. What better way to challenge that than through interviews like this?

Well, I know Jihyo and Nayeon are learning with an English tutor. That is when they have time out of their crazy busy schedules. If I'm not wrong, Chae and Tzuyu has also expressed interest in learning English. Also they've been a global artist for years now.
Back in the mid 2000’s is when kpop really got cemented. It’s a history thing, and involves a lot of explanation, but basically there was this really popular girl group called “girls generation”. They had 9 members and were the top standard in Kpop. Every company and their mom knew their songs. After that they became the gold standard of how a girl kpop group should be. Fast forward to 2015 and Twice was formed under jyp and became big. Now a days most kpop groups don’t have as many members, mainly because Black pink is so popular and companies saw that the standard changed, but also because of budget.
