I always appreciate the background information provided in all your videos. The detailed synopsis with your articulation really sets you apart from other channels. Good to see you posting again Kev!
Thanks for checking the vid out boo! Hopefully I did the long history of system_a justice! I’ll keep trying to give more and more details for future vids!
The Dume Coat is a pure shell and you would think that you could wear the Dume Jacket inside of the Dume Coat but I'm not so sure. With Fjallraven they have the Keb Jacket and an Echo Shell jacket which is the shell for the Keb Jacket and the same size of either will fit inside of the other. Same with the pants, there is also an Echo Shell.
I think both the coat and the jacket are made of the same construction, but the coat is obviously much longer. I don't think they were really meant to be paired ontop of each other cause there wouldnt be much reason to have two shells on!
@@FashionForwardAlways The Dume Coat is not insulated, it is somewhat of an emergency shell, it is super light. You could wear it in the Summer time or any time the rain is hard and it will fit overtop of other jackets and not be bulky. I was disappointed. I wanted an insulated version. It would be more expensive but this is okay too. I would call it an overcoat, not a coat. With Fjallraven the keb jacket is a soft shell and the echo shell is not quite a hard shell but it is similar to goretex. You can have shells ontop of each other but it would be better to wear soft underneath of hard. Actually I sort of like the Dume Coat over top of down clothing, it works with that too. Seriously though you can do an Arcteryx insulated shell underneath this no problem because it is so light.
great PU's. Dume + Anther SL were my fav pieces. smart move as there are few options transitioning from street to mountain garms, biking to work, etc - NP, Veilance, Descente AT...
Thanks for checking the vid out! Yeah I feel like street to mountain garments are going to be more mainstream as people try to escape the city/urban life for the peaceful outdoors.
Fuck yeah been waiting for this vid. Most other reviewers don’t get into the depth and history. Also they just throw it on and are like “yup it looks good!” Wtf kind of review is that lol
LOL i feel you. I really love your videos for the same reason! I really enjoy how in-depth you go with your pick ups! I do think the whole “throw it on and review it” kinda does the garment a disservice. Multiple people spent countless late nights and I want to make sure their work is not in vein!
LOL yo the heat is way too much. I honestly threw this fit on more for a test to see if it would work for winter-time fits. I def have been primarily wearing a pair of lightweight trousers and a tee-shirt most days.

What is your height and weight and what size Dume jacket are you wearing in the video? sorry if these are invasive questions...just trying to get the fit right. I am 6'1 200 and based on all the measurements online (they are all over the place), thinking I will need a L vs. a M. I prefer a slim fit, but the M may be too small. Having to buy off resellers as the Dume is sold out everywhere :(
Buzz Rickson also allowed William Gibson to design a bomber jacket and named it after him.
I remember reading about that! That’s for the reminder!

I have been trying to get one of these jackets and can’t get one anywhere :(
The best times are when Kev drops a vid
bless up

Damn that Chalk Dune jacket is beautiful
Absolutely. Love the color.
the fit with the Dume jacket and the Yzy boots is fire man!
But how are you able to rock those boots in SoCal summer? 🥵
LOL

@@FashionForwardAlways this is way more reasonable 😂

@@FashionForwardAlways i seen now, they’re all sold out anyway... would you trade for any other arcy jacket?
@@FashionForwardAlways i have 2021 beta AR right now & can/will buy any other arcy if you would like to trade.

No worries!
I am 5 foot 7
I’m also 160lbs.
My chest size in suiting is usually 40 in an athletic cut.
I would personally go for a large for your dimensions!
I was also wearing a Medium!
That is what I am thinking. Thank you for confirming and...forgot to mention, great review and dual camera work. Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words! Hopefully I keep on improving the camera work, etc.
I hope you’re able to find your size!
Sizing ?
Dume fits more tts
imo, the paltz jacket is slightly slimmer, but I also sized down on the paltz to a small.
The outerwear reminded me of military gear, in which I'd rather spend the money on Arcteryx Leaf lol
I feel you.
I thought about grabbing some LEAF stuff, but was veering more towards System_A since it looks cooler.
yeeeeeeeeer
