MANI Lol. I totally get where you’re coming from. For me, when this song was released, depending on whenever that was because this video was released in April of 2010 as my birthday is in July and I was only 9 years old when this song was released and it was also released about 2 to 3 months of my 10th birthday from 2010 because I was also born in July of 2000, well even though I’m neither black or white because I’m part Mexican and I’m also almost 20, and even if this song is for people around in general who come from the hood and for people who like rap music, either if they’re black or white, well this song also sort of spoke to me about my future sort of in middle school, but the way I see it, it sort of talked about my time in high school, because as much as I’m a fun loving person who loves people all around and even though a lot of people in high school always had my back whenever shit was going down, in a way, I had to deal with a lot of crazy shit in high school, as I eventually became exposed to, the older and much more modern world and I became a part of a new generation, and then I eventually began cussing around, joking around with my friends, and for most of the time, even if we didn’t have all of bad days, some days whenever there were bad things going on around my former high school, I tried to not get involved with that, because well, even if I had black friends, some of them got into fights with whoever if I remember correctly, and they also cussed at people at my former high school who were causing problems for them, and then they eventually started to call them the N word, and it was just a bunch of crazy shit. And man oh man, as much as my senior year of high school was a lot of fun, let me tell you that, on October 26th 2018, it was the last high school football game of the year that night, and it was all at another high school and that high school is one of my former high school’s biggest rivals in sports, and well on that day, while I was at the game, I went to support my former high school against the other high school, as I have been to that high school lots and lots of times for my former high school playing against them, and well, during the game, I had to go the bathroom that night at the high school, and then I was done with my bathroom break, and I was on my way back to watch the rest of the football game, and then while on my way back, I find out that the rest of the football game got canceled, and I was like, why did it get canceled? And then I find out later on, and it was just a crazy night, and the reason on why it got canceled, well someone from one of the teams began to insult and talk shit, like y’all some smack to one of the team members from the other team, and then it got escalated, and then a fight broke out, and then we all eventually had to leave that night, as it was the worst football game in high school you could ever imagine. And well, I don’t think it would’ve mattered either way if my former high school would’ve won or lost the game, it was still just the craziest and worst football game in high school I’ve ever been to. And anyway, long story short, even though this song was released all the way back somewhere around in 2010, it still sort of talked about shit I had to deal with in my life in high school and shit that I still have to deal with, like every single day, and believe me when I say, that I get where you’re coming from, when we still would have to deal with shit like what I just talked about.
