    OMG Josh,
I think that sofa is genius!!! When our grown son camps with us he likes to sleep until noon. I want to sit in my recliner and my wife likes to sit on the couch. How convenient would it be to slide his lazy butt over to the side and we can continue to live in the living room and watch the NASCAR qualifying and practice on Saturday morning??? So cool!!! Also I love the table that gives you the choice of a booth and table. That's the ticket!!! The only thing that would make that table better is to allow it to turn to the side and have two chairs facing outside. I know other manufacturers have that option but I would suggest that Rockstaff start doing that. Anyway, I love this living room and think it comes from a great manufacturer.
    Thanks,
    Pat

Another perfect RockStaff couple’s floorplan with theater seating, a sofa, a fireplace, a residential table and chairs “option”, a porcelain toilet, shower door, Maxxair vent fan, king bed, a ladder, solar, slam latch doors, Goodyear tires etc👍👍👍

One headed sewer monster, all rack and pinion slides, good length, in a weight that doesn’t require a dually. Home run as long as you’re not dead set on travel access. You’re able to access the bathroom and that’s what most are looking for anyway. I really love this model. It’s going on my top 10 list. Thanks Nerd.

This would be in my top 5 in floor plans, and this company does it so well.
Side stands by the sofa for me to put my coffee and my phone on. Good storage above the sofa. I’m not a huge fan of the colour scheme but it’s not a deal breaker, I have about 1,000,000 throws (and bought another one today! I was set free to shop with my friend, and we’re dangerous together 😂, we both think we’re part of the Rockefeller family!)
I love the ottoman style table and chairs. And the kitchen has the perfect placement of appliances for me.
The tv on a swivel gives great coverage if you’re busy in the kitchen area, or laying on the sofa.
The toe stubber is less of an issue for me than carpet or vents in the floor.
I like cabinets that reach to the ceiling but can understand sometimes it’s impossible to get them flush if there’s any curves involved in the ceiling. I do consider them dust traps.
I prefer this tv situation to an elevator and there’s a good pantry.
I’m glad there’s a medicine cabinet behind the mirror in the bathroom. I like the size of the shower and the good linen storage. Great bathroom.
I like the bedroom, some great storage and cubbies, they may not have side stands, but they’ve got decent windowsill side stands. CPAP machines aren’t suited to the bedside in this camper.
I like that the slide system is the same in each slide. I don’t really like it when there’s a mix of slide types. I just feel mistakes are more likely to be made.
Not good road mode, but that’s not a deal breaker for me.

Love ever thing about it. Maybe have cabinets go all tge way up. I actually love the divided couch. If you have one person staying like a grandchild the split couch is awesome plus you can pull both recliners out. If I had a one ton, I'd pick this rig. Quality for quality can't beat rockstaff.

The sofa gives plenty of options if you only need sleeping space for one person. Like you said, you'll still be able to open the recliner. The other option is not having the sofa on top of the space heater while sleeping. Nothing wrong with having options. 😊

Rockwood has so many nice things that really would make sense. But it’s incredible how much pressure manufacturers have to get costs down so adding extra appliances can be difficult sometimes.

I would love to submit to you the notion of a new one: Grease spatter = “bacon kisses” I didn’t come up with it, but I think you should add it to your lexicon. And I go by “Timmo” if you adopt and care to give me a shout out in the future. 😂

I appreciate your commentary about Rockwood and your belief in them. Really like the layout and decor. My only significant negative is that they don’t have a one piece fiberglass shower. What they have conveys a lesser degree of quality that doesn’t seem to match what they’ve got going in the rest of the rig. That shower would be a deal breaker for me.

  • @texillini1

    1) Nice unit.
    2) I’m guessing the split couch is in case someone wishes to lay on the couch and do computer work instead of sitting or lounging.
    3) Correct, you don’t want to place your CPAP machine above your head in case you pull it off the shelf and bonk your head tossing and turning during the night on the uncomfortable death wafer RV mattress. You either want your machine placed on the nightstand next to you or on the floor for safety.
4)Why do you have to make the RV longer if you want side stands? Can’t you just use a narrower bed?
    5) Speaking of bed; can you post ALL of the different measurements for all types of mattresses that are made? From twin to King, double to RV and Olympic sizes? That might be a handy piece of info to have when shopping for sheets or RV’s and home. Thank you.
    6) Nice slide tip. If you haven’t already done so, make a RV 101 video on things to do. If one has been (Bish’s or Haylett days) please repost.
    7) Why don’t all manufacturers place stabilizers under the bedroom to help reducing the movement from aggressive laundry folding? Doing so, wouldn’t this make an RV more stable?
    8) Aren’t there Canadian RV manufacturers that make true 4 season camping for up in the tundra?
    9) Generators are a good idea.
    10) Can’t have enough storage.
    11) Thanks for the educational tour Professor Nerd 🧑‍🏫 🤓

Hey Josh, I absolutely love this RV. Lol if only I can afford it. Anyway, so one of the first things that I noticed was the bench on the kitchen table. I like the idea of chairs to be honest with you being around the kitchen table. The benches I never was crazy about. I know they have storage underneath them, but I think chairs would be a lot more elegant. And on the theater chairs what is the scoop with these guys constantly putting in these electronics hook up on the inside of the seat. That doesn’t make any sense. As soon as you sit down, you’re either gonna break it or slice your leg open. Lol. I do love the theater seats. But I can do without the electronics sticking into my thigh. As for the kitchen slide out it really doesn’t bother me, whether their floor flush or whether they a toe kicker. I can work around both. For the kitchen, I would honestly have a flip down backer that could flip down over the window to protect the window and rear surfaces from splatters of grease , etc., while you’re cooking. And then it could be flipped back up to run flush underneath the microwave. So out of sight out of mind when you need it, just flip it down. The pop-up chargers around the stove, I think are a little bit too close. Again, if you have splatters, etc., you’re gonna end up either melting those or gunking them up. I would prefer maybe a plug on the side wall closer to the refrigerator and then on the other side extend that one another foot closer to the TV. As for the little bitty desk thing that doesn’t have a light. It needs to have a light lol. Makes no sense if you have a beautiful RV, but a bunch of dark spaces with no lights in it. Just makes sense Absolutely love the bathroom. Plenty of space for anything you wanna do. In the bedroom those open spaces above the bed I think a perfect for CPAP. I’ve had a CPAP that is above my head many times and I’ve never had any problem with the water draining and trying to drown me 😂. And the aluminum framing under the bed is definitely a plus. I love to see aluminum. On the outside, I’m loving the new nose cap. Really nice. And I don’t mind the more drab paint job on the outside. Still looks really good. interestingly, enough on the outside griddle they still don’t have a cover over that thing so if it’s drizzly or rainy there’s no way you’re gonna be able to do any cooking outside while trying to stay dry lol. Anyway that’s my take on this. Lol still wish I could afford it. Keep Rockin

I love the tal upper deck. Being 6'4" is not always fun in an RV..... Big fail on road mode IMHO with the fridge access, 3" shift in island location could have resolved that. I do like how their W/D prep actually includes the dryer vent already, I don't see that very often.

The only 3 misses in my opinion; toe stubber slide, shower & dining table. Toe stubber slides should no longer exist on any 5th wheel. The shower needs to be 1 piece fiberglass with squeegee shower door, not glass. The table needs to be attached to sidewall and able to rotate. I am VERY happy about the upper deck height and basically everything else! Rockwood/Flagstaff are soo good at what they do! I'm extremely happy they have also chosen to stay with tank water heaters.. you can keep those tankless pieces of junk. I also would like access to the fridge in travel.

Mr Nerd. I don't know if that is normal for a slide. I have had a few motorhomes and a trailers but I have never had a slide out.
When you closed the living room slide. The upper part of the slide closed first, then the lower half kind of tucked itself in. Is that normal? Or should it close flush and not cock eye'd? Forgive me for asking a dumb question. I have been watching you for about 2 years now and have never noticed that.

Depends on the slide type. Floor flush slides aren't purely "rectangular" if you look at them from the side because of how the slide has to ramp up/down when opening and closing
