Very kind to me. Volvo S70 repairs, timing belt, radiator and the dreaded door check strap damage.

89° at 7:30 in the morning ! ? To H ! with that. I survive just fine with 40° and rain blowing sideways.
Made a large awning to keep Robert dry when he was in Oregon.

My guess is the Swedes only get in and out of their cars once or twice a week, unlike us brutal Murican drivers who are in and out six times a day. Plating that part of the door - as well as the other end under the A pillar - would've made sense in hindsight for the US market. I wonder if P2 cars have the same issue ?

      I don't think they do.

Looks like the final solution to me, but if it does fail in another 20 years or so, by all means, update us.

Had the same check strap issue twice during my 30 years ownership of my 850 Estate (Wagon U.S.). I was told that the V70 didn’t have that issue. Of course my car in England is R.H.D. Doing as much as I can to preserve this car which has made many memories.
Again, thank you and best wishes for your future health and happiness. 👍🏻🇺🇸✌️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

Hey robert ! first off great video :D. I am loosing coolant at a verry fast paste, it would leak inside the car's front driver side and passenger front and back. I just changed the heater core assembly. Its not leaking anymore from there. But the problem is that i am still loosing coolant and at a higher speed . I am guessing they had an other leak and by fixing the heater core the leak got worst due to more pressure. Should i use a a UV dye to find the coolant leake ? .

If the head is blown, it will build pressure.

@@RobertDIY i checked the oil and there is no milkey mootie look, ik i have to service the PCV systheme. I also checked if the coolant level rises for a blown head gascket and its not raising. I just looked again and its still leaking inside the car but only on the passenger side , but its not from the heater core !!!
