Awesome series and impressive AV stack! I love how you explained everything clearly and also showed some imperfections that everyone can try solving.
    Would be thrilled to see:
    1. Real passenger pickup & drop-off
    2. Improved U-turns & lane changes
    3. New maneuver mechanism in pickup & drop-off zone

It is IoT in practice by an excellent video-demonstrator after hard work of develompent. So we might see taxi-bots or car-sharing-bots like this in future aap.. My questions about the UNSEENS are: I. How much electric-power does the full ict-network by one hours drive really need till today? II. To whom is this usage of driving will be sell by which price of my personal and vehicle data? III. What is your sustainable innovation impact up till now? IV. What is your own sustainable innovation gap which you want to compeed aap?

How does it handle a traffic/police officer who is directing traffic with hand signals etc? Or anything that involves a human trying to communicate with a robotic car?

Zoox: It sound like you were implying.your programming concerns for a use case when Zoox autonomously equipped car is stopping at 4-way stop (no-stoplight) intersection w/4-6 cars waiting ahead of you from each of all directions. What would the resultant use case be when you’re about to be rear-ended by an approaching older car w/o autonomous capability?
I have plenty of thoughts but how is that situation being handled by Zoox now?
(You can also hire me 😉. Plz, before Amazon )

I’m worried about the 2 minute mark where it moved around the indecisive vehicle, it looked like it was gonna swing into the next lane just as a car was passing by and that would spook a lot of drivers seeing some one pull or about to pull in front of them

While certainly impressive, the sdc does seem to drive frustratingly slow relative to the other cars on the road. E.g. getting back on the highway from the airport (14:22) it looks like the commercial van is closely tailing and a human would merge at a much higher speed (see how much faster that miata drives by). I wonder how you'll plan to find the right balance as a commercially viable service. Also, would be interesting to see how the sdc responds in more chaotic hotel drop-off scenarios (e.g. parking attendants motioning cars to move lanes or yield/pass by pedestrians).

I do think that if you are going to stick to exactly the speed limit and cars are passing both on the right and the left, the car should stick to the right most lane, at least until traffic speed come down closer to the speed limit. Like is often the case in Los Angeles, speed of traffic could be 15-30 miles slower than the speed limit.

Another case I was wondering is, on a normal 2 lane road (one in each direction), if there is a bicyclist who is taking up a lot of room but sticks to the right side of the lane (they are entitled to take up the whole lane but usually sticks to the right), would your planner overtake the bicyclist by partially getting into the opposite direction lane briefly if there is no oncoming traffic (like what a human driver would reasonably do)? Or would it just be be stuck following the bicyclist for the entire duration of the road segment?
