Bagley went second in one of the deepest drafts ever. Honestly I think when it's all over 2018 could be the goat draft class just because of how deep it goes. You have Luka who will be that all time great guy that every top draft class needs and Shai who could also be that if OKC live up to the hype and they win a bunch of chips. Brunson, Mikael Bridges, Dante De Vincemzo and Mitchel Robinson are all expected to make New York legit contenders and they all came from this class. JJJ has already won DPOY. Love him or hate him Trae is one oof the best offensive players ever. MPJ is a key piece at Denver. And then you just have a bunch of guys like Ayton, Sexton, Miles Bridges, Anfernee Simons and I'm sure there are more who are more than solid in this league.

Counter-argument: Bennett’s the worst bust in terms of the player’s individual performance but not in the franchise’s missed opportunity value:
-Darko was drafted over Melo, Bosh, and D-Wade
-Kwame was drafted over Pau Gasol
-Thabeet was drafted over James Harden and Steph Curry
-Bagley was drafted over Luka and Trae
If Cleveland didn’t draft Bennett, they would’ve taken either Victor Oladipo or Nerlens Noel. Either of those would’ve been better but not franchise-changing like what those other teams missed out on.

I wouldn't call somebody like Bennett a bust. They also shouldn't be called a bust for being drafted 20 spots higher than they should have been. Like yeah, he may have been able to do more to make the pick fit, but with that high of a pick, you're expected to be a day 1 HOF or you get no chance to train and improve. So if he just had a reasonable pick, idk his career. Probably still really short but it's not his fault being drafted 1 overall.

I'm not sure about Bargnani. He was pretty good all things considered, and not playing for any good teams isn't really his problem (it was before the player empowerment era). There are far worse high picks to choose from, some recent examples off the top of my head: Marvin Williams, Jay Williams, Derrick Williams. No, I have nothing against the name. They just happen to have the same one.
Also, Len Bias and Chris Washburn from the 1986 draft could be considered, as taking drugs is not the same as injuries-it's the player's own choice and responsibility.
EDIT: I forgot that you did include Derrick Williams. Sorry.

Also worth Noting 2006(the Draft class of Bargani) was Weak AF.
Yeah it had Aldridge drafted right under him and Brandon Roy at number 6 but those are the only all Stars in the Lottery.
So he was Pretty good considered to most top tier prospects of his class.

    Get real.
The #1 pick HANDS DOWN was the Celtics picking Len Bias at #2.
He never even suited up, as he died of a drug overdose a few days after getting drafted.
The rest of these players ALL PLAYED at least.
