I've never seen any other fans react to a super star like Elvis the way we react!! Elvis Is So Special!!!!!! I love him and adore him. I wished I could have met him.. bit I'm only 48. Same age as Lisa Marie
I loved you in “There’s Only One Elvis,” but this documentary is a real gem!! Excellent job! I love how you unabashedly tell about your Elvis-worship in such an honest and self-deprecating way. I’m glad you got to meet Marty Lacker and Mr. Lansky. Loved this. Thanks, Buddy!!
I so loved this video. I went on that trip with you from Dallas, Texas in my living room in my chair. I felt all of your ups, and crushed on your downs. I felt that. Velvety Shirt and how you felt wearing it. “Our” trip is worth more than all the money in this world. Thank you, Thank you very much.😅
It doesn't matter if the shirt is real or not, (I believe it is though, since Hebler signed for it) the experience this gentleman had along the way..... PRICELESS!
hi frank im a great fan of yours, and i did see this program once on tv and after watching it again im realy pleased for you following your dream ,i too love collecting elvis items and ive bought some elvis cuff links, but like you i have some doubts, but i cant afford to go round the world to find out, so i just live with the fact they are the real deal elvis as gone but he wont be beat or forgotten hes the best and always will be , rest in peace elvis the world miss you but your music and memories will live on for ever
I just love Elvis, and that Frank loves Elvis so much. I love Frank's voice as he talks about Elvis. It is so genuine and sincere, and I sincerely hope that it is Elvis's shirt because Frank deserves it. I truly believe that Elvis was blessed by God with his glorious voice, beautiful looks and Elvis had a presence about him that people felt. Elvis worked so hard to make his fans happy and deserved the title of the King of rock and roll. Elvis was the best entertainer of all times. May Elvis R.i.p. with with Our King Jesus Christ. I am sure that Elvis's spirit was in that room when Frank was singing Peace In The Valley with the Jordanair's. I felt something very unique and special. This was great ! Thank you Frank & God Bless You for the trip you took us Elvis fans on.
Frank Skinner you are so very special and I feel your pain it's like wanting to be part of something that we could never have been to this day I regret not going to see Elvis Presley when I had a chance. So even if the shirt it's not authentic but you got to meet and know some people did he was close to and I envy you for that but I'm so glad that you got to meet the Jordanaires and sing with them this was so delightful and I'm sure Elvis knows about the people with pain to hit wanted to be part of him they say that when people go to heaven they somehow know what's going on in people's hearts better. And I actually sometimes feel like Elvis knows about us and like I know when my dad and my husband are up there they know about how I'm feeling I can feel their presence and I can actually eat sometimes feel Elvis's presence
I'm a big Elvis fan.... that was a fantastic story.... and to top it off with you singing 'Peace In The Valley' with the Jordanaires..... Wow.....!! Enjoy having that blue velvet shirt.... You have a huge piece of history !!
Man this video was awesome !!!!! You done an outstanding job with the jordanaires (misspelled)... sounded a lot like a young Elvis....👍👍👍👍 I would give anything to have something that I knew for sure was Elvis'.... if your a true fan you can just feel him in you
“Love Me Tender was filmed in late summer 1956 and a besotted Natalie had two hand-made shirts sent to Elvis on-set. They were a matching pair, one in red velvet, one in dark blue velvet. The King can be seen wearing the latter in iconic images from his historic concert at the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy Show on September 26, 1956.”
Thanks I adore this video I would like a bit of Elvis I have a bit oElvis all over my house but I would love that Blue velvet shirt that he wore in his own home town 19 56 .congratulations FrankThe King forever and always 👑👑👑👑💔💔💔💔💔😢😢😢🎸🎹
Fantastic Frank -- just fantastic!! So much for Christie's !! Great story though!! Priceless! Hope The auction house and Dave are both happy with their thirty pieces of silver! Can I get an amen?
I was just looking at a photo from the Tupilo show and the puffy shirt clearly had buttons at the neck, he had one undone, at the top. It looks the same as the shirt you have. Also how amazing was that ending singing with the Jordonares wearing the shirt? I was moved to tears hearing you guys harmonize Peace in the valley. That was a golden moment, as well as the Tupilo visit and getting to meet so many people. What an amazing journey! ❤
I thought that was one of two shirts that Natalie Wood had made for him. But if Mr Lansky said they made it, I guess I'm wrong? It's a cool shirt no matter what!
the improptu song with jordonaires just priceless. you could almost feel and imagine elvis sitting there grinning just enjoying being there listening again to someone just singing his song for the joy of it and with men he started out with all those years ago. I enjoyed this little documentary more than I thought I would. the shirt was elvis's but way over priced and yet priceless.
I'm so glad to know ~~ sweetytwome2 ~~ to know the shirt's was from Elvis ~~~ even was over priced ~~~ but as you know ~~ out there we have a "lots" kind of people ~~~~ have a nice day :) 1/3/2018 ~~
He was surrounded by them, unfortunately. He would have done better trying to make more of his marriage with Priscilla, who at least naively loved him. He was a complete sex addict as well though - hence surrounded by those men.
Beautiful doc. Great to see the shirt was real . Elvis is with you brother enjoy it . a one of a kind to meet the joadnaires and get to sing with them . what a beautiful memory frank . God bless you . You have his shirt enjoy it . pass it on to someone who will treasure it like you Sir . TCB always
Ray dickens I absolutely didn't get the impression at all that the shit was authentic. Frank unfortunately got taken for 18K. Dave Hebler, like many others get paid to sign those letters so poor fans who don't research items before they buy feel the items are legitimate but this was clearly fake and Frank I'm sure would never had purchased it had he done even a little of research.
It should have been the job of the auctioneer to investigate the shirts provinence imo, Heber says Elvis gave him the shirt but he knew nothing in regard to the Tupelo concert, any shirt worn by Elvis would have historic value anyway, I own Elvis' Greatest Hits on CD, that's enough for me.
Ever thought that maybe...just maybe...he had the shirt altered?! Maybe his Mom added the extra buttons, to make him look less "appealing" for the girls who always wanted a piece of him, and often tore his clothes off? Just a thought...
girlfromlebanon, yes, I thought about this once the first time that I watched this video because Gladys was a great seamstress and sewed to make money and with Elvis just starting out it is very possible that Glady's just may have added extra buttons on the shirt or could have even made Elvis one similar to it because she had exsperienced Elvis getting shirts ripped off in the early part of his career.
GREAT VITO,HAPPY FOR YOU ,YOU HAVS A BEAUTIFUL VOICE,SOUND A BIT OF ELVIS, THE SHIRT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY YOU PAID FOR IT,,LOOKS VERRY STRIKEING ON YOU,AND YOU ARE A CUTELY. .AND ELVIS LOVED THE LORD ,TRY SINGING HOW GREAT THOW ARE...
When Elvis started out he sang it that high. Elvis even said so in his concerts. You sounded just like him!!! I'm from a long line of musicians and w/ the Oprey. I always spell it wrong.Darn it all, anyway. You're good!
`Frank go to the Bio "Elvis- Return To Tupelo" You'll see the whole front of the shirt that you have doubts about... if you havent already... Its at the end with still pics...
If the tailor confirms it was custom made for Elvis fantastic. But the Tupelo shirt was what they call a smock or peasant style shirt. Elvis' Tupelo shirt had a deep V and only three buttons with no cut or opening from the last button, down. I believe Lamar is mistaken. But hey, what do I know?1 Edited to add: Dave Hebler acted like a skeevy creep. Of course he'd stand by his assertions. He PROFITED off an Elvis provenance shirt. If it was disproven, the Auction House could be obligated to return your money and Hebler would be deemed a liar. which, seemed to be the case judging fr his defensive & then combative attitude. Doesn't matter, mate. That trip you took, the places you saw, the people you met exceed $18,000.00 anyway. The final song was brilliant!! Your film is fantastic!!
An authentic piece of British realism - congratulations! It's both nostalgic but also highlights the phony outer life led by Elvis and his entourage which continues today over in that 'fantasy' land.
that blue velvet shirt says Frank so was he ripped off must watch rest ta find out great doc all the same it Elvis shirt be happy you got something of the king TCB ALWAYS ELVIS
Loved this !!! Great voice and what a wonderful experience you had on your journey. I think there was some shady stuff there but I do think it was one of Elvis' shirts. I do think that I would do something legal with that though. If it was stated it was wore at that show in Tupelo, Ms and it obviously wasnt the same shirt. That is FRAUD !!! I would think the auction house is somewhat culpable or liable for not verifying, just as you did with pictures. At that point in the courts, they would have to reimburse you and go after dude for what they gave him for it. Good Luck you SWEET HEART & He was an AHOLE !!!
Well the last guy that had it, found out it wasn't real and he got rid of it..!!!! Makes me so mad how people try to make a fast buck from the original sale!!!!
That shirt is real! When you put it on at the fairgrounds and were moving around..from different angles the last two or three buttons disappeared in the lighting.
Look at the damn pictures, that isn't the Tupelo shirt + The actual shirt had puffy sleeves which this shirt hasn't - It's pretty clear this ain't the shirt from the Tupelo concert in 1956, but it could still be one of Elvis shirts, but not one he used on stage!
If his shirt inside his pants, you would not see all the buttons, And Elvis did not button the shirt at the top, wear the shirt And stop complaining, or give someone who would wear it for you!
I've never seen any other fans react to a super star like Elvis the way we react!! Elvis Is So Special!!!!!!
I love him and adore him. I wished I could have met him.. bit I'm only 48. Same age as Lisa Marie
I saw Elvis live in Las Vegas in the 1970's at the Hilton Hotel …….John
I got goosebumps bump for him when he smiled in the Taylor’s shop !! So happy for him
Elvis the one and only....there will never be another Elvis ever again...RIP
I loved you in “There’s Only One Elvis,” but this documentary is a real gem!! Excellent job! I love how you unabashedly tell about your Elvis-worship in such an honest and self-deprecating way. I’m glad you got to meet Marty Lacker and Mr. Lansky. Loved this. Thanks, Buddy!!

Elvis had everything, perfect face, perfect voice, and the perfect body...wow
Perfection
It doesn't matter if the shirt is real or not, (I believe it is though, since Hebler signed for it) the experience this gentleman had along the way..... PRICELESS!
I don’t think Elvis ever knew how loved he was

great documentary :) love the pace of it. that was so lovely when they all sang together. beautiful.
I'm a big Elvis fan.... that was a fantastic story.... and to top it off with you singing 'Peace In The Valley' with the Jordanaires..... Wow.....!! Enjoy having that blue velvet shirt.... You have a huge piece of history !!

Completely enjoyable ..... Thank You!!!

How about his under clothes ? Where did he buy them at ?
I'm so glad to know ~~ sweetytwome2 ~~ to know the shirt's was from Elvis ~~~ even was over priced ~~~ but as you know ~~ out there we have a "lots" kind of people ~~~~ have a nice day :) 1/3/2018 ~~
sweetytwome2 ooo
Hebler was hard for cash and signed something when he knew he was uncertain about the facts of the shirt. Now we know why Elvis let him go, a Liar!
He was surrounded by them, unfortunately. He would have done better trying to make more of his marriage with Priscilla, who at least naively loved him. He was a complete sex addict as well though - hence surrounded by those men.
Elvis my love!!my lovely lovely beautiful idol forever King 👑 forever 👑💔😢😢😢❤
Thank you for this enjoyed singing at the end
This was and is a awesome video ~~~~ specially ...... the ending ~~ whit the song ~~~ thank you ~~

This Was Fantastic!!!
Enjoyed it! Thank You!
This is a very good video well done !
I did see an interview with one of Elvis girlfriend who said the red and blue velvet shirt was a gift from Natalie Wood
I marvel at the lengths Elvis fans go.. its sooo bizaar. I think hes as popular as Jesus.
Very well done sir. If only he was still with us
I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU ELVIS ❤
Ever thought that maybe...just maybe...he had the shirt altered?! Maybe his Mom added the extra buttons, to make him look less "appealing" for the girls who always wanted a piece of him, and often tore his clothes off? Just a thought...

You JUST channelled Elvis Presley!!!!!!!
Excellent Voice!!!!!

The whole time was was trying to see if it's real but at the end to expept it is for what it is that's poetic
Elvis was a World Event!!!!!
Elvis loved blue suede, and blue velvet and bought a lot of blue suede shoes, shirts, and silk socks. Loved loafers.
I must admit the guy is likable and being able to sing with Elvis bac up guys had to be the cream on the cake...
When Elvis started out he sang it that high. Elvis even said so in his concerts. You sounded just like him!!! I'm from a long line of musicians and w/ the Oprey. I always spell it wrong.Darn it all, anyway. You're good!

The final song was brilliant!! Your film is fantastic!!
CONGRATULATIONS CHAP ! 😆🤓👤❤❤❤❎REALLY GOOD VIDEO !! WELL DONE ! 👍
I have always heard that Natalie wood gave him this shirt. And a red one.
Wow!! great video...sorry you got slickered!!
I think what I learned is your experience on this journey was more important than the shirt.
Amazing!!! I'm very happy for you!!!
GREAT..........
Great video
An authentic piece of British realism - congratulations! It's both nostalgic but also highlights the phony outer life led by Elvis and his entourage which continues today over in that 'fantasy' land.
AMOOOOOOOO ELVIS PRESLEY !!!!!!!!!!! MAS NEM TODOS FALAMOS INGLÊS!!!!LEGENDA PORTUGUÊS BRASIL!!!!!
Bueno
The velvet shirt worn by Elvis on that famous day in Tupelo '56, was made especially for him by his mother Gladys.
That was down right CREEPY when hebler told you how to kill a man by hitting the adams apple!!!😲
This isn’t a little bit, it’s a LOT a bit
that blue velvet shirt says Frank so was he ripped off must watch rest ta find out great doc all the same
it Elvis shirt be happy you got something of the king TCB ALWAYS ELVIS
Well done frank and you can sing too
The man with the photos.. said Elvis' mother made the red and the blue shirts. Lansky said he did. I could see lansky making that up for notoriety.
Very nice...and worth $18,000...wow
Loved this !!! Great voice and what a wonderful experience you had on your journey. I think there was some shady stuff there but I do think it was one of Elvis' shirts. That shirt is real! When you put it on at the fairgrounds and were moving around..from different angles the last two or three buttons disappeared in the lighting.
could it be the blue velvet shirt he wore under the vest on Ed Sullivan
There was a velvet green shirt which can be seen on an Elvis HMV LP cover and with only 3 buttons.
loved watching this and Elvis didn't sing it that high
I knew lansky was lying!!!!!!
I feel really bad for you... gosh!
See- a DRUNK frank Skinner!
Muito bom dá pra traduzir pra português ? Obrigada
Very good, can you translate into Portuguese? Thanks
Marty Lacker and Bill Burk mention a bit more about the shirt here...
alt.elvis.king.narkive.com/nIPI3x2F/1956-blue-velvet-shirt-skinner#post4
Is that chair of Elvis' you sat in the one from the interview after he got out of the Army???
If you think Roman Catholicism is of Christ or God.. you’re a fool, just believe the shirt is real then lol
ITS THE DAMN SHIRT....
Look at the damn pictures, that isn't the Tupelo shirt + The actual shirt had puffy sleeves which this shirt hasn't - It's pretty clear this ain't the shirt from the Tupelo concert in 1956, but it could still be one of Elvis shirts, but not one he used on stage!
spazmatic
Wistful for a lost era and in some ways our own limited time.
The shirt could have been altered from its 1956 style....
If his shirt inside his pants, you would not see all the buttons,
And Elvis did not button the shirt at the top, wear the shirt
And stop complaining, or give someone who would wear it for you!
Frank I have a pair of Elvis's underware for sale 20,000
You said you read everything.. but did you read the Bible!!!!😀
This shirt is a fake. Frank burned it.
