    OK this teaches you how to take the deck off but in no way is it necessary for changing blades or greasing deck.

      Yea I just jacked up the mower and zipped them off with an impact. What's missing here is the torque spec for the blade bolts. From Husqvarna: "For the 7/16 GR 8 bolts (5/8" wrench) used on some mowers, torque to 45-55 ft lbs."

    SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE! You don't have to remove the deck at all. You can reach right through the discharge side and just pry the deck up a few inches and block the other side. The important thing you left out is these decks have a normal thread. Righty tighty lefty loosey. 5 minute fix!

    This illustration of the deck maintenance is excellent and detailed. Anyone with these kinds of mowers must know this stuff. What a terrible design for a mower deck! My Husqvarna $4500 mower came with some critical cotter pins missing! They must redesign the hanger and the belt arrangement for easy servicing and deck longevity. To change the mower blade, it is a good idea to just use a robust hoist in your garage to lift the front end safely to change blades. Always use torque torque-adjustable socket wrench. ( usually socket 15/16, 35-45 ft.lbs)

    Thank you sir for your video. I think your video reflects more than simply changing mower blades. It demonstrates the advantages of removing the deck exposing any potential issues and allows for greater access. I perform this task yearly and prefer to inspect and service all at once. Heck, I even take the time to scape and clean under the deck. Good job!👍

    What to do if you can’t loose the bolt. What is the best way to go about it?

    • @ryanlewis8093
      @ryanlewis8093 Год назад

      Breaker bar, or if you just have a socket, a hollow steel pipe for more leverage, or an impact wrench.

      Oxygen/acetylene torch till red, then loosen. Just don't pull the air lever! Lol

    On your Husqvarna when you increase your engine speed do your blades spin the same speed or faster

      As you increase engine rpm, blade rpm increases as well. Thank you for watching and be sure to check out my other husqvarna mower maintenance videos if you are interested! Thank you!

    Thanks for the clear description. Can you recommend the greases you used: for the zircs, spray-on lithium compound, and anti-siezing compound?

    Could be shortened to half its current length with no problems.
