This lad has saved SoccerAM. He can be genuine and funny without the need for shouting! The interviewer has done well to bring out the personal qualities of Jimmy here.
He's the only reason I watch it. Jimmy is a top lad and so funny.
Jimmy Bullard would make an excellent pundit. He would just bring a different perspective to the coverage, he'd be like Robbie Savage, but you know, smarter and not so much of a twat.
+wierdwesterner Robbie Savage is worse than Micheal Owen IMO, at least Owen's statements are funny!
I used to think Savage was ok untill listening to him on 5live for England games at the Euros. Now I want to slap the prick
Good interview - I liked him as a player and he sounds like a nice bloke.
Pity players aren't allowed to show a sense of humour on the pitch more often. People like JB are a rare breed.
Great guy,honest too.
"If you ever ran a football club it would be... - It'd be fucked"
Great lad he is
lol love this interview and Jimmys RUclips breakdown is spot on
This lad is a very good interviewer.
he does a great show on Talksport too with Max Rushden
Guardian Football Weekly. Him and AC Jimbo, that was class.
Barry is very funny
unfair to label him a joker.. and certainly not what I thought of him. deadball specialist, great vision and always pops up in important games. Proper player
Good energy too
He is a complete legend.
One of my favorite interviews. I wish I would have seen Jimmy play.
When Jimmy was fit, he was the kind of player who could change a game. Sad to see him play at the end though. He had heart but the knees had gone and that was that. Good lad though.
He’s a very likeable bloke. I thought I could play forever but when I hit 35 I started to get calf cramps every time I played, after about 2 years of it I realised that was it. - I missed playing so much that I used to dream I was playing football for about 3 years after I stopped.
This could be a sodium deficiency, can happen when u get older. Try supplementing it and get blood work done. U may not need to Stop after all
Loved him at Fulham. When he wasn't injured he was a really good player. Scored a great free kick at the Hammersmith end I seem to recall against Aston Villa.
reading away was the best.
Cat Salesman 👨💼 îiipmuiuuuiuhtk
I got my first proper injury last year for my (then) new team , I broke my ankle but I was literally devastated , the fact I broke it didn't bother me but I can understand Jimmy in this
Such a nice bloke, reminds me of the time I met Sir Elton John in the local gloryhole, so very strong in the last few strokes of his game
matteastwood87 what did I just read😂
This is one of the strangest, most random comments I have ever read
@@mattlockett4882 facts
What a brilliant anecdote.
Sick man but effing funny
great wee character!
Great interview Baz. Jimmy's got some interesting things to say. I don't follow one of the teams he played for but I always thought he was one of football's characters, and nice passer of the ball to boot
0:15 - 0:23 Pretty much sums up my RUclips viewing habits !
Legend !
Love him. Proper lad and he could play as well.
He’s just quality
What a guy!
It's amazing what you come across on RUclips!! 😝 😂
great questions
Jimmy shedding a tear 3:06
Fucking great interview. Very revealing.
Ray Parlour and Jimmy Bullard have always seemed like the best personalities in football to me. Not sure he'd have left Smith for dead though. He'd have been snapping at his heels all the way up the pitch.
His teeth are perfect. Fair play.
Wigan legend
Is this filmed at chigwell topgolf?
This guy is comedy gold
I'm like Jimmy Bullard. Having a laugh doesn't make us incompetent. It pisses me off how society links comedy to clowns. Jimmy for management/coaching, or at least punditry.
Funny people in my experience tend to be smart, quick thinkers
He was already a manager at that point Leatherhead but after a season he went back to presenting
Jimmy is an old school character i.e. authentic.
top lad
RIQEULME IS A LEGEND
Subconscious reaction at 2:20 tells you everything you need you know about him
He was a top player!! And a funny fucker!!
im 19 and startded following football last seasson, its a shame ive lost all these players
How he didnt win a balon d'or i will never know. He was very underrated
Car crashes - plane crashes - earthquakes - aliens. Standard
I totally related to that. Said to myself oh boy that’s me in the wee hours
He just summed up RUclips in 7 words. Hahaha
Bullard was kind of a old school type English player and always enjoyed watching his antics. Also enjoyed Robbie Savage to a lesser extent. I know Savage wasnt a hard man but didnt take any sh*t either. Not the greatest footballers entertaining as hell to watch. They were a dying breed at the time as far as PL players. Know you have the likes of Vardy and Deeney. I love these kind of players.
i felt so upset even just looking at the title of this video.
Jimmy bullard "my career" this blokes a feckin comedian
He was a right wrongun at ULL... up to all sorts!
Hes a yead and a half older then me and he looks like my dads age
GoonerKIRK
What the flying feck is a yead?
As a st mirren fan, I'd love to have seen Jimmy in a Celtic shirt... Gutted for the guy, but what a laugh on and off the outch, I'd love to go for a night out with the guy, some buzz
The whole not paying a player who's got injuries is such a dumb point. You can't help getting injured most of the time all pro athletes get it at some point in their careers. If you were off sick from your employer you wouldn't expect your wages to suddenly stop. So why would it be different for footballers. The clubs sign players knowing full well they could get injured at any time so they can't complain, if it was such a big deal they should have a stipulation written into the contract saying that any injuries that took say more than 6 weeks to recover from the player would only get 50% of the wages until they are match fit again. Recovering from a serious injury is still work, the player can't just rest and literally do nothing for months and then just come onto the pitch like nothing happened. Hardly gonna help them recover fully if you suddenly make them income-less for months! All you are doing is giving them a whole new set of problems to suddenly worry about.
mr burns
The two seems to talk reluctantly.. like they are talking in codes or signal that they only understand
He looks a bit choked up at the start talking about leaving football behind.
His career was well underway before youtube was big
Only if old boy put this much effort into his playing career.
Jimmy always reminds me of the lunatic from Dirty Harry 😂
All 15 dentists disliking this interview
Alltha Bongos I think he had a hairlip that’s been fixed
Only 15 dentists on Earth lol
To be fair 2 of them have killed themself by now
That's a load of Bullard
Who's daddy long tooth interviewing him?
Barry is starting to 'look as fat as he sounds'
Sorry Baz.
Just no characters like Bullard in the current game...
lmao yeah international football duty is exactly like prison.
When the interviewer said if you run a team they would get relegated in 2 weeks, what a bellend, guarantee Jimmy wanted to react and give the fella some back but had to play it off.
Blimey he's turned all posh now he's being interviewed by the guardian.
he's got a major lemo nose
He left Fulham and next thing there in the Europa final lol .
Glendenning is permanantly drunk
Billy Joe Saunders
Glad you said that bee racking my brains
Got abit of a beckham accent
Barry talks like he's trying to keep his teeth from falling out.
Interviewer doesnt want people to see his top teeth. Can tell how he speaks
Bullard wanted big money Roy Hodgson knew his knee was fucked and Fulham were better without him.
Without him Fulham reached 7th after staying up the previous season and reached the Europa League final beating Juve The holders Shaktar,Wolfsburg who won the Bundesliga and then Hamburg who were hosting it.
Eventually losing to Athltico in extra time.
Fulham also played 70 games and won more points from losing positions than anyteam before or since.
So we all know where Hodgson was coming from.
Where is the interviewers top lip?
So glad he didn't play for Celtic
Interviewer is very condescending. Boarderline rude. I have a question, do you feel guilty getting paid for interviews even when you're adding nothing to the interview itself and your job could be replaced by an intern admin filtering twitter.
Wow you are way off base.
Interviewer seems slimy and disrespectful
I’ve seen comments here about good interviewer. I disagree I think he’s being very negative and borderline rude
Alan smith was so much better than you jimmy
He is having a laugh. Alan Smith was a much better player than him. Ironically, he was never the same after that horrific injury.
He says all of a sudden ? Yes if you've played 6 months and get an horrendous injury but come on many a player has played for donkeys years .get a grip
the interviewer has an awkward but disrespectful way about him
Possibly the worse interviewer ever
Ask him about his 14yo girlfriend. He's not so funny now is he.
A NOBODY
