This lad has saved SoccerAM. He can be genuine and funny without the need for shouting! The interviewer has done well to bring out the personal qualities of Jimmy here.

Jimmy Bullard would make an excellent pundit. He would just bring a different perspective to the coverage, he'd be like Robbie Savage, but you know, smarter and not so much of a twat.

When Jimmy was fit, he was the kind of player who could change a game. Sad to see him play at the end though. He had heart but the knees had gone and that was that. Good lad though.

He’s a very likeable bloke. I thought I could play forever but when I hit 35 I started to get calf cramps every time I played, after about 2 years of it I realised that was it. - I missed playing so much that I used to dream I was playing football for about 3 years after I stopped.

Bullard was kind of a old school type English player and always enjoyed watching his antics. Also enjoyed Robbie Savage to a lesser extent. I know Savage wasnt a hard man but didnt take any sh*t either. Not the greatest footballers entertaining as hell to watch. They were a dying breed at the time as far as PL players. Know you have the likes of Vardy and Deeney. I love these kind of players.

The whole not paying a player who's got injuries is such a dumb point. You can't help getting injured most of the time all pro athletes get it at some point in their careers. If you were off sick from your employer you wouldn't expect your wages to suddenly stop. So why would it be different for footballers. The clubs sign players knowing full well they could get injured at any time so they can't complain, if it was such a big deal they should have a stipulation written into the contract saying that any injuries that took say more than 6 weeks to recover from the player would only get 50% of the wages until they are match fit again. Recovering from a serious injury is still work, the player can't just rest and literally do nothing for months and then just come onto the pitch like nothing happened. Hardly gonna help them recover fully if you suddenly make them income-less for months! All you are doing is giving them a whole new set of problems to suddenly worry about.

Bullard wanted big money Roy Hodgson knew his knee was fucked and Fulham were better without him.
Without him Fulham reached 7th after staying up the previous season and reached the Europa League final beating Juve The holders Shaktar,Wolfsburg who won the Bundesliga and then Hamburg who were hosting it.
Eventually losing to Athltico in extra time.
Fulham also played 70 games and won more points from losing positions than anyteam before or since.
So we all know where Hodgson was coming from.
