From someone who does post-processing for audio, it is very difficult to do pitch correction on audio recorded like this. You can't see microphones in the shot, so they are probably using one stereo mic slightly off camera. That's called area micing, or far micing, to pick up everything in one area. If you pitch correct on that audio, you will hear a change in the ambient sounds. If you record like they do on It's Live, with one microphone close to each performer (close micing), then you can pitch correct without hearing artifacts on ambience, because there is not much ambience in the audio. The audio in this video was recorded purposely to make it hard to pitch correct.
@@WatchingSundays The audio is mostly raw in terms of pitch correction. They still can make it sound nice with EQ and compression, like you do in your videos, as you point out. But if one of the four members was far off pitch, you would be able to hear some phase shifting in the ambience when pitch correction was applied, because it would also pitch correct the ambience. The ambient sound is basically white noise, without pitch, so pitch correction causes audible artifacts, like a phase shift. You would notice it, especially on headphones. They might be able to sneak a little pitch correction in there, but it would have to be very limited. Also notice they don't use any music track in this session. Adding a music track could hide pitch correction artifacts I was talking about. So if you ever see one of these with music track added, you'll know they were making it easier to so some pitch correction. Finally, I don't see any of the members wearing in-ear monitors. I could be wrong, because I can't see all of their ears. But I don't think most people would understand the significance of not wearing them, so I don't know why they would bother to hide them. Without in-ears, the members are not getting a pitch, harmonic, or tempo reference. All they are hearing is each other. So they must practice like that, a LOT. If they do, it makes sense that they all have good pitch, because practicing without reference exposes ALL mistakes. It is singing without a net. I think there have been idol groups that have performed like this, but not many.

Clearly a rigged award show. No hate. Facts speak for themselves. If you can't perform live and win awards then clearly synthesized vocals wins over live vocals.
